Hello Raiders,

being new in the Quartermasters Office I searched the forum for some nice wallpapers and can't find much which is really up to date.

So I decided to give it a go and made 3 wallpapers (1920x1080) based on popular (or you could call them classic) background pictures:

DoD-S Wallpaper Band of Brothers MRB.jpg

DoD-S Wallpaper Unit MRB.jpg

DoD-S Wallpaper Enemies MRB.jpg

SSgt. Flores gave me a helping hand and converted the pictures to VTF files.

So these wallpapers can be used as Windows wallpapers and also as as DoD:S main menu background files.

To use them in DoD:S just do the following (it works for me but it may depend on your resolution probably):

1. Download one of the VTFs below.

2. Make a copy of that VTF file.

3. Rename one file to "background01.vtf" and the other to "background01_widescreen.vtf"

4. IMPORTANT: Backup all existing files first! Than move both files to your custom file dod folder, e.g.: "...\SteamApps\common\Day of Defeat Source\dod\custom\my_custom_stuff\materials\console"

and delete all files that have the same name (both with vtf or vmt ending) - DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP FIRST!

5. Start DoD:S and see if it works

6. If not you could try the same in "...\SteamApps\common\Day of Defeat Source\dod\materials\console" (ALSO DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP FIRST!)

I'm learning this stuff so let me know if it works for you or not.

Or tell me if you have any other input on this. Thanks in advance.
