We have a supply of em at home and we use them for everything from cleaning to cooking. >_>;;

So, this weekend at home, was my parent's anniversary. They went and took off to relatives living in New Jersey, and so it was me and my two younger sisters all alone for the weekend. Last night was really the first time I've cooked something more complicated than fried eggs and SPAM. Last night we had some fried breaded fish. It was an okay success, but the fish fillets we I made needed some time in the oven. Now, for tonight, after basically driving close to 100 miles assisting my younger sister in her shopping, decided to stop by the store. From there I bought what was practically at arm's reach. So, bought cubed steak, the kind that's been flattened and those cube pattern on it. It was on sale and whatnot. Thought I'd fry it. Got home to realize my original plans to fry then serve with warm rice went out the window without any rice to cook. Decided to make an attempt at Southern cuisine. Yey for being an Asian Redneck. :| Jusu's Poor Attempt At Southern Cuisine: Fried Cubed Steak w/ Fried Dumplings in Cream of Mushroom Gravy Warning: I basically went with the time honored recipe mixture of TLJAR, or "That Looks Just About Right". Steaks: Egg Mixture: 2 eggs w/ some milk Coating: Breadcrumbs, Flour, Salt, Steak Seasoning. Coated and Fried the Steak, fried one at a time on medium heat, light coating of oil in the pan with about 4-6 minutes each side. I came up with these: Gravy: 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup Chopped Garlic and Onions 1 can chopped Mushrooms Milk Basically sauteed the garlic and mushrooms until slightly browned, before adding the Soup and Milk mixture (see directions in can). Made a somewhat thick soup, before adding the mushroom. Left to warm on the stove. Before I realized I might need more soup: Dumplings: I used the left over coating, using a bit of milk and one more egg. Made a batter mixture and fried in oil. Making sure it's new oil so it cooks more properly. Ze Dumplings: Cooking: END RESULT: Awaitin Gravy: Whoo!!! OH GOD WHUT: My sister also took a picture of me. So yeah, I cooked. I'm bored, and I didn't have any instruction besides "I'm hungry, and we don't have rice." and the fact I wanted to go to Cracker Barrel earlier for Lunch but my sisters, cousin, and my younger sister's boyfriend wanted Panda Express.

Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command

"It is clear that war is not a mere act of policy but a true political instrument, a continuation of political activity by other means" Carl von Clausewitz, "On War" There are always situations where politics will get in the way of an operation, fund it, order it, etc... When diplomacy and the other veiled niceties end, it's often warfare that comes about, well, in the past few centuries at least. -
Respect is two different concepts that mesh together in harmony. The first is respect for yourself. Your own faults, ignorance, and folly. Acknowledge those, but do not let it defeat you. Then you respect your own talent, knowledge, and wisdom. Use those, but do not let it inflate you. The respect in self can be broken down into mental and physical aspects. Both of which can be further elaborated upon by an individual in what he/she would see himself/herself to have and what to gain though hard work and perseverance. The second is respect for your fellow man. To treat all others equally as best you can. To be able to respect his/her own talents and faults, knowledge and ignorance, wisdom and folly. Give proper respect to your elders, peers, and subordinates. For the elders had come before you, and know the path, providing the experience; your peers travel with you, and provide your strength; and the subordinates follow you, who you will lead eventually down the path. That isn't to say respect is to be thrown lightly. Respect to many must be earned, and the only way to earn that is to be respectful yourself. Turn the other cheek, and seek forgiveness. There are those who do not warrant any respect at all. But it is still customary to give them something, to show that they can browbeat us, with our morals and humility, and respect for their fellow man. For whatever they say, they are not in any league with us. Now, I'm running in circles vaguely philosophical, but I return again to the opening. Respect for yourself, and for your fellow man. To put it in context with this lovely Unit. I shall have respect to those above me, those with me, and those below me. I shall have respect to those not part of the unit, and still show grace and humility to those who honestly do not need our respect. Abiding by the rules and procedures of the unit is a sign of respect, as much as pressing your Salute bind in game at the appropriate times. The word of the unit, Respect. Such a simple word, yet it speaks volumes. A person who has it, and gives it, makes them whole, one can say. That said, I would like to point out I'm lying in bed about to fall asleep, and this topic caught my eye and I had to respond. I have fun with y'all, and I love y'all (some more than others I'm afraid to say), and even with those who in our pub do not give respect to us, I will not go into a giant cursing rampage in game. Unless you're like...I dunno...killing and dominating me every single friggin time. D< Even then, I just scream like a little girl (apparently). ...why didn't I give this answer at BCTs...oh wait, I didn't take two pills of ibuprofen before going to bed nor did I wax philosophical.

You know... This is why I don't read the user comments.

Sure sir. I didn't see anything.

I also wished I had screenshotted you known who was mowing people down in the soccer field with an MG42. Alas, without proof, we do not know who had murdered the joyful revelers of a classic Axis vs. Allies Football Soccer Match.

Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command

I guess the nature has changed nowadays, with a heavier emphasis on Counter-Terrorism Ops and Nation Building. The nature of the Corps in their old traditional role, basically as MPs and trained soldiers for Boarding/Counter-Boarding ops turned into shocktroops/amphibious capable troops, I guess it's the vanguard, a test bed if you will, in new methods for which to eventually find their way to the Corps. That said, Force Recon (a completely separate and still active unit) conducts different operations than MARSOC. MARSOC is an offshoot from Force Recon, if Wikipedia has any credibility here, and handles the direct ops, the bits we see in the news or fantasize about in our dreams and vidja games. While Force Recon does what it does best. To conduct deep recon patrols for intel. -

Not to rag on the Marines, but the Army and Navy already had their own forces. Each with their own history already. They've been in the game longer than anyone. I can somewhat understand the need for the Air Force to get the ParaRescue blokes, but you'd think the Marines would already be fulfilling the part these guys are doing. -
Elf. Elf and his friggin rifle.

Commitment, Abbate. Commitment. We strive to be the best, but we also have fun. But i second Vik's comments.

The martyrdom technique. How many times had I used the whole "Canteen with the word 'Grenade' in white ducttape" trick when being a 'dead' body in Army ROTC. The kids from the Maryland AROTC class got a rude awakening when they did the whole search routine.

I attribute the IED attack my uncle took in Iraq to this bastard. I really, have nothing to say to this person, beside to tell him he's going to hell. Maybe we'll do the same. We'll take the very bible he uses, and burn it in front of him. Then I'll proudly say I'm a Patriot, as well as a Catholic, and see him rage and rage and then I'll just smack him across the face, and tell him thus: "Now, imagine if that was the Quran. And you were a Muslim. Your fucking actions led to deaths of westerners." And then, well...yeah.

So I hear you guys may need to fill the ranks a bit.

Oh God you're getting the new Oshkosh trucks? I wanna see those when you get them. D: For the troop carrier, what's the chassis? I remember back when I was in AROTC, we got the privilege to attend the Association of the US Army conference, and one of the Oshkosh vehicles there was basically their HEMMT that's been armored and had seats in the flatbed. XD

@Animal...is it sad I noticed the MRAPs first? Also, cool. Also, thems be Cougars *as baseline model* ne? Imma guess it be a 4x4 model MRAP, unless you got the older EOD ones...not too sure about the vehicles. Many of the MRAPs look the same to a non-mil member. @_@
