Getting good with Unix/Linux/BSD really requires that you devote some time to it. I mainly got good at it by trying to use various shell accounts I've had over the years to do things they didn't actually want me to do. The latest instance of that was with a hosting company that wanted $7/mo for a proxy, or $2/mo for a shell account, so I got the shell account and installed my own proxy. The difficulty being that you can't easily use the FreeBSD package manager without root. Back in the day I tried to compile X (the graphical environment) 100% from source code... after 3 days of learning how and about a day and a half into the compile I decided that I should just download a binary.

Resolved - Need help with spread sheet
Lafy BAR replied to Ultranator BAR's question in Hardware Guides & Maintenance Questions
Because of the way you've set it up with morning, lunch, dinner, you're going to have to do things 3 times, but that shouldn't be a big deal. I assume that you used a 2nd sheet to make the drop down work (i hope), if you didn't then switch the source of your drop down from typed in names to the first column of another sheet. On that sheet you're going to have 4 more columns, one for each shift and the actual total. Manager | M | L | D | Total Joe | 10 |0 | 66 | 76 Sue | 342 |40 | 120 | 502 Bob | -30 |200 | 22 | 192 The code in M/L/D is almost identical, you're just going to reference the correct actual/goal columns for each. Instead of finding the difference and then adding them, i'm going to difference the sums because the SumIf command will be helpful. =sumif(Sheet1!G:G,A2,Sheet1!A:A)-sumif(Sheet1!G:G,A2,Sheet1!B:B) =sumif(Sheet1!H:H,A2,Sheet1!C:C)-sumif(Sheet1!G:G,A2,Sheet1!D:D) =sumif(Sheet1!I:I,A2,Sheet1!E:E)-sumif(Sheet1!G:G,A2,Sheet1!F:F) And the code for total is simple =B2+C2+D2 Then you obviously just drag the formulas down If you have any trouble with any of this just find me on vent and i'll give you a hand. -

FYI you should only every operate a wireless network on channel 1, 6, or 11. Other channels overlap with each other and cause extra interference. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2.4_GHz_...11b,g_WLAN).svg You can use netstumbler to survey the other wireless networks near you and choose the channel that has the least interference. (count any networks on ch 1-5 against channel 1, 2-10 against channel 6 and 7-11 against channel 11) http://www.netstumbler.com/downloads/ -

Here's a couple totally random laptops for around $400 that i think are significantly better than the one you're considering. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+15.6%26...p;skuId=8964045 http://configure.dell.com/dellstore/config...s&cs=cadhs1 If you're in need of a new laptop I'd suggest that you post your requirements in the medical supply and we can get you some more detailed suggestions. If you were just thinking of getting that laptop because your brother-in-law is selling it, I'd say not to bother.

We do have some wingnuts, but our conservatives are mostly more liberal than your democrats. And i didn't really say anything about the banks themselves, i said that we regulate them... I don't actually agree that all of those things are state issues considering the farm bill is a federal program and is one of the largest social support programs, gay marriage has a good chance of being decided by the supreme court within a couple years, the supreme court already did decide abortion, but of course the states are still trying to outlaw it anyway. But none of that is really the point. Canadians might look like Americans, but we have different values in a lot of cases.
-
That idea is terrible. Canadians really don't share your culture. Issues that Americans see as controversial such as gun control, public healthcare, social programs, gay marriage, abortion, banking regulations, etc, are more or less settled in Canada. We have some political discussion about them, but the vast majority of our discussion takes place past the liberal end of the spectrum compared to American values. If the northern liberal states want to become provinces then they could get a liberal kickstart, but Canada joining the USA would be a huge step backwards for Canada. I would never want religious right wing southern Americans voting for my government. I would say that our relationship is like two good friends whose interests often coincide but who disagree on, and enjoy debating, many of our social values. You're suggesting that because we're friends we should get married, but sorry we just don't like you like that.

Resolved - RunDLL Error
Lafy BAR replied to Morton's question in Hardware Guides & Maintenance Questions
That error is because something is trying to run a virus and can't find it because it's been removed by you or your antivirus. If you're comfortable poking around in your registry, i would suggest a quick search for "suxpyrp" to see if you can find where it's being launched from... The likely locations are HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce the wow.dll and that bit of random text, and a path to rundll, would be in the data column. If you find an entry for that wow.dll in one of those folders, you can safely delete that entry, If it's in the RunOnce folder then you still have a virus, or it would have gone away after a reboot.
