ive been getting the same issues during a map change, but my pc freezes and the splash screen for the map stays on the screen and ctrl,alt, delete does nothing to get me back to desktop. tryed revalidating the game files and updated to latest vid drivers this is what i pulled from the event veiwer after i rebooted Application popup: Day of Defeat Source: hl2.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x1d68e202" referenced memory at "0x2a051374". Just as a heads up for those whom maynot know, you can do everything right and still endup with a bad flash of bios. ive done this a couple times had a power flicker or even mistaken a revision number on a certain motherboard model. here is a site to help in those times, http://www.badflash.com/ Jack who runs is an awsome dude, he can not only reflash a bios chip with correct flash (providing its not damaged or faulty) he can sell you a new one with stock or updated flash. he was very patient and very resonably priced. check him out

Yes sir, will back up the report with the fact i warned him about the TK/TW rule not 5 seconds prior to that

i know he needs to run XP at min. DVD/CD drive. and will need wifi.. if i need, i can get a usb wifi dongle but wanna try and make this as turn key as posible for him. i wont be near by to administer it in person (he and mom are going to her mothers 6 hrs north of me for a summer vacation/school) in truth the less he has to plug in and unplug, the less he likely to break something. he is a console kid, just stating to get him into the PC but he still doesn't know how to close windows/tabs and end up with 20 of them still open when he calls me for help thanks for the offer though wells stone i sent a PM

ive been informed my son will be needing a laptop for his summer educational program (mom and Granma set this up im clueless) If any one of you might have an old laptop not in use and care to donate or offer up very cheaply plz let me know, what im lookin for is something in the 1.8 to 2 ghz, working DVD/CD drive. wifi builtin would be a plus and simpler for him but i can get a USB dongle if need be. thanks for any help you guys might be able to give.
