I'm not talking about for the whole unit, just us old timers who have been playing games since the only Tandy and Turtle computer systems or the old Colicovision consoles lol. I still remember saving up my paper route money for 3 months to be in line to get the Atari2600 system when it launched, was short $50 but my grandfather gave me it for trying so hard to save up enough for it on my own. You know those who remember how hard it was to bounce a square ball between a pixelated hole in the wall beyond a moving stick, who can truely appreciate a fine work of art that you helped create.

Heheh... *smug face* ...although its not all that much different from a regular programming job to be honest. Ultimately, replaying the same bit of a game over and over, trying to fix weird glitches and broken bits, can get a little frustrating; its funny for 5 minutes when you accidentally make a nazi twist his torso round 180 degrees and cause him to shoot his own feet, but then its hours of trying to stop him from doing it! Anyway, I'm interested to know what everyone thinks, if and when you play it. Let me know if its awesome or awful (and don't hold back with the criticism on my account!) Ahem promotional copies all around!!! Come on cutts work,your magic!!

hmmm cruises. I've been looking into doing a couple of them. More the ones where you sleep at night while they are travelling, and when you wake up there are ready to put you ashore at some remote town for the day to sight see and visit, then back on around dinner time, to leave port for the next town. That and I want to do the Alaskin one for the scenic value. Plus I hear they are great for meeting vunerable horny single women who are looking for a fun time while at sea.

Yea the Red alert series did not do it much for me either. I've been playing C&C since the original DOS version came out way way way back when. Loved playing it over the 28800 modem connections when they came out with the multiplayer originally. Generals started to revitalize the series then they went back to making more of those damned Red Alerts. I checked out this one, its so so its a smart phone based game, so not really a live action game, more of a side scroller turn based build your base and defenses and see how many waves of attacks you can do. Allows you to form alliances for support to defend your terrirories and such. The map is very RISK style game play, take over areas, try to build up defenses and bases to hold it and so on.

Ran into a friend yesterday he did something with hiding some of the updates? And got them to start installing, then unhid the problem ones afterwards and got them to install. Looks like I might be okay, will know on the next batch of updates windows releases I guess.

yea its looking like the complete reinstall of windows route alas.... I was hoping to advoid that as I have no clue where my disk is in the basement pile of boxes lol. I tried the installing 1 update at a time, other then driver updates working, none of the windows updates will work, and theres 14 of them.
