London's not that bad. North London is kind of meh, but there's Karl Marx's grave there, which I visited. Downtown London and Soho are really nice. London really wasn't my favorite city though, York definitely was in England, and Edinburgh in Scotland (Hell, Edinburgh's pretty much the nicest city i've ever seen). If you can visit York, I definitely encourage you to. Leicester Square can be interesting, a bunch of different people end up there. I'll admit I didn't really like Manchester, it's not really pretty, but the Curry Mile is awesome (A "mile" long street of indian restaurants, jewelers, hookah bars etc...). If you want some more tips, i'd be glad to help, even though i'm not from England myself. I can't say i've been to Lancaster however.

Drink well!

That's what was sweet about this little place in LA, they were kind of fast food, though more like a snack bar type of fast food place. You got served pretty fast and it was delicious. But yeah, for mainstream fast food, look into Harvey's, it's pretty swell.

In-N-Out is great, I got to go there when I was in Cali. My personal favorite is Harvey's, but I don't know if you can get them in the US. For small places, the best burger i've eaten, apart from the pub burgers i've had in England, was this hole in the wall place in LA, where you could get a custom burger (Mine was a pretzel dough bun, angus beef, cheddar cheese, fried egg, chipotle sauce, tomatoes and lettuce). EDIT: Oh yeah, onion rings too. This is the burger I got in a small pub in England, they called it the "Priory Burger". Completely obscene. Yes, there is two meat paddies and onion rings. You don't see the back bacon either on the picture. Nomnomnom.

How did we miss this? Happy day where you left your cozy uteral home!

Ultranator, I really disagree with you, but I don't think it's possible for either of us to convince each other. I think a foetus is just that, a foetus. Personhood, both as a legal definition, and by my personal belief, begins at birth. I think it's unfair to have a raped woman carry the baby to term despite whatever misgivings she may have. I also don't think it's fair for a woman who got accidentaly knocked up to have to carry the pregnancy to term and inherit all the responsabilities while the father can just pike off/pay alimony. I'm for the opportunity to choose. If abortion goes against someone's principles, then fine, don't have one. If it doesn't, then have one. But before someone can convince me that a foetus is a conscious and fully developed human, my stance remains pro-choice.

The only true Van Helsing, professor Abraham Van Helsing, from Bram Stoker's Dracula (the 1992(?)) version. Dutch badassery. He's coming for you Holland.

Okay, awesome, we have 4 players assuming Cutts and Takel join up. If anyone else wants to play, feel free to sign up. Get this game downloaded and let's rock. Teams?

Happy B-Day!

Anyone down for a 2vs2 (Or however many people sign up, we can do 3v3, 4v4) of Napoleon Total war? It's the game I prefer to play in multiplayer, but I can do Shogun 2 as well. We could set up 2 teams and have at it sometime.

...Not sure if meant to be arousing or disturbing...

+1 Kirkendall I read the books because I saw the TV serie and holy balls is it different from Tolkien. A lot more poignant IMO, even though I loved the lord of the rings trilogy. The 2 main differences to me are 1: That Tolkien tells, and Martin shows. 2: Tolkien will establish his setting at the start of his writting (Read also: Why there's 100 pages describing the shire and the hobbits before the adventure even begins), whereas Martin will have you discover his setting bit by bit. EDIT: I'm also frigging jealous you got to meet him.

Yarrrr! Happy B-Day, may it be filled with booze and whores.

I'm a proud crab cake enthusiast, although much subdued in comparison to Grant. Love and Friendship!

I'm thinking about getting a tat myself, but given that i'm headed in the army, i'm thinking about having it pretty subdued (Probably on the shoulder or biceps). I would advise considering the potential effect on your employment chances before getting one Visca, depending in which career path you're headed. Also Griswold, good tattoo shops are as clean as an operating room, and they pride themselves on the safety of their environement. Sure you'll pay more than a dubious guy in a half-basement, but you can rest easy. I'm unsure about America, but in Canada, most professional tattoo artists worth their salt have a certification from a school.

Stone, because he makes me laugh. If I didn't laugh and have fun, I wouldn't be in the 1st MRB.

Red heads all the way, that's all I have to say.

That was the most obnoxious video i've seen in a while. Let us hope it was tongue in cheek (I love the bullet effects on surfaces though).

I meant that characters are not "good" or "evil", they're human, and as such, have both inside them.
-
If we're going for houses, the Martells from Dorne are the best, no questions asked. And Martinez, i'm pretty happy for once that there's no "good" or "evil" in a fantasy serie, enough of the holy christian paladin smithing the evil devil worshiper already!

Let's hope that if they make a game, it'll be better than the last one they did (the terribad RTS). I've read everything that's been out (That is up to A dance with Dragons) for A song of Ice and Fire, and I can't wait for the 6th book. Favorite character? The Hound, definitely.
