Okay so, as always, I look to this poll in order to narrow down a pick for my article, so your participation is therefore encouraged! Don't mess with poutine and with Canadian beer. Other than that, I reserve the right to agree to disagree with the previous statements. Being a Québecois is a lot more than just pretending not to be Canadian while being one. There's plenty of issues we need to work on before we can be a full and productive part of Canada, and I don't know if we can resolve those issues. A lot of that is on us, but a lot of that is the circumstances in which we joined the Canadian confederacy and the history of the province.

Yeah man, I have tons of stuff that happened to me like that, Dayz is amazing for that. It was a bit better when you had the bandit skins though, because people were more willing to let that kind of adventure happen to them, now they just shoot you since there's no consequence. I remember how I met my first gang in Dayz, I was just out of a successful raiding trip into Elektro, I had a M4 with red dot sight and 3 mags, fully stocked on survival gear and food + water. I decide to get up a radio tower to check out the countryside with my newly acquired binocs. There, by a barn maybe 300 meters out, I spot this guy crawling in order to sneak by zeds. I'm a bit torn. I scope in with my sight, make adjustments for bullet drop, get ready to shoot. Then I decide to be nice, and I type out: "Guy out the barn near Elektro, friendly?". Guy takes a minute to reply, says yes. Eventually, with a while of tense chat, we agree to meet up in the barn. He says one of his friends is going to come and join us. Now, I have a very fancy weapon, he notices this, which makes me wary, but I figure, whatever, the risk is worth it, these guys have blood. So I keep my wits about me. Eventually his friend comes around, and we all look at each other for several minutes...and we exchange skype names. From there we had tons of adventures, went to the NW airfield, got killed, claimed Elektro as ours for a day, hunting noobs and veterans alike in the streets during the night, getting lost, going to devil's castle etc... Oh...and dying from trying to fix a car. Yes, really. From the car.

Well first the actors look like they're terrible. Keep in mind that the trailer is supposed to make you want to watch the movie. The fact that I can predict what will happen in the movie from the trailer is already bad. There's the usual cliched romance, then Master Chief comes out of nowhere to save the day from the evil menace (Presumably alien). Of course, the renegade student (With his pal MC) will end up saving everyone...just like in 6528 movies before. If I can predict the plot of a movie from the trailer, then there has to be something in the trailer to make me want to revisit that plot. There's probably gonna be good special effects if it ever gets made I guess... And Dawson, that's the old argument that if you're not a master of X, you can't tell if X is good or bad. You don't have to be an expert moviemaker to say that The Room was a terrible movie (But oh so hilarious), same with anything. If there's ever a movie made from this, I probably won't go see it. Of course, being that the role of a movie is primarily to entertain...you guys can knock yourselves out and watch it if you enjoy that kind of stuff.

I really hope they don't make a movie with this trailer. It looks...really bad.

For the butter coloured margarine, that's actually a relic of the strong dairy lobby there is in the province, butter producers not wanting people to buy margarine (which is cheaper) rather than butter and passing it off as such to guests. And you can definitely turn right on a red light in Quebec City, but that was only changed a few years back. It's also not like anyone actually follows the regulations in bill 101 either.

So I don't know if any of you have heard of that documentary "The Invisible War", discussing rape within the United States army, but after reading reviews and commentaries, i'm wondering, is this true? If so that's very concerning. I certainly hope such a problematic doesn't exist within the Canadian Forces, where I will be doing my service. I know some unit member served both in the US army, and do people get away with that kind of stuff and other crimes due to indulgence from the command staff? Sure having Alaska would be cool, is it worth getting into a diplomatic nightmare for it? Not really. I read something from a guy that is pro-american expansionist that suggested Quebec should be a different country and Canada should fuse with the US because of their common english culture. I don't think Canada as part of the US would necessarily be terrible if necessary reforms were implemented first, but frankly, the age of large territorial empires is gone. Nowadays international relations and trade shape the realpolitik chessboard, and Canada is already part of the US' alliance: NATO. So much hate about French-Canadians .
