Re-install DOD:S and let us know what happens. I've been reading some reviews on your card and much of the negative feedback is that it will stop working for no reason and overheat a lot. 75 is really hot for a video card. Can you try increasing the fan speeds to try and cool the card a bit?

Beuting, go download CCleaner. It's a registry cleaner. See what it picks up and then try to run DODs. If you need help using it, let me know. Heres the link below. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner When you use it, use the registry part not the one called cleaner.

Is DOD the only game this is happening with?

Ascencio, You didn't say if this is happening only if you press your push to talk button, but if it is, here is a fix. Make sure your default recording device isn't set to "Stereo Mix". If you right click your volume icon in the lower right toolbar and click on recording devices, you can check there. If it is set to stereo mix, it is why people here it over the mic. Just right click, disable it and make the mix the default. This has happened to me before but if your settings were already correct, it could be the headset.

Researched that the .acf files are now used to run games because of the move to the cloud. Also found through a friend that the .acf files cannot be converted either. Unresolved for now unless anyone else would like a shot.

I think because of the steampipe and all the files going from gcf to acf is why it's not working. Although you were able to use it after steampipe for a while, I think it was because it was still in the process of converting everything. I'll research more when I get home from work but I think you may have to reimport everything. I'll let you know what I find.

Ok Duckers, first I want you to flush your DNS and winsock and we can go from there. If you are running Windows 7, go to your start menu>all programs>accessories>command prompt. If you are a local admin on your PC then just open it, if not then run it as an admin. Right click to select this. In Windows 8 or 8.1 type cmd in search In the prompt type this in the order listed. 1. ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. 2. ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter 3. ipconfig /release and press Enter. 4. ipconfig /renew and press Enter. 5. netsh winsock reset and press Enter. 6. Reboot the computer. After restarting, go to speedtest.net and make sure your ISP speeds are still good and then run a game and check your ping. If it's still high, let me know.

Check your background processes, not just programs. Most likely it's some process taking up a lot of CPU. Antivirus stuff tends to do that a lot as well. If you go to your search in the start menu and type msconfig, you can see which process start with your comp. You could try to minimize the amount that starts when you boot up. Let us know if you find anything.
