It's the King's year. 5 reasons why:
5) They are rolling 4 lines and getting solid, two-way play from each
4) The King and Lewis: King alone had 4 goals in the PHX series and they are forcing mistakes with their physical play
3) Dustin Brown: leading by example with physical play, energy, and smart passes in all 3 zones
3) Their PK is phenomenal. They have 5 SH goals this post season and perpetually drive the puck outside by clogging up passing lanes. They do only have 6 PP goals and that may end up being their Achilles heel.
2) They have 3 pairs of defense that limit the other team to one-and-done chances by keeping the crease clear and pouncing on rebounds to clear them out of scoring zones.
1) Jonathan Quick. I don't care who is in the other goal; if you've got Quick you've got a shot at winning. Puck tracking, athleticism, lateral movement, positioning, he's got everything. His only weakness is allowing rebounds off the boards to sneak in behind him because of his Tim Thomas-esqu super challenging of shots. But with the defense he's got that's not a real issue.
That's my take.
