Here are a few suggestions and questions. Just thought I would put it all in a list format so it would be easier to read and respond. Confirm the top download and upload speeds using speed.net as Holland suggestedVerify what your download and upload speeds are supposed to be (may require a call/chat with Internet provider)Is your modem owned by you or is it leased? If it is leased then you should be able to get a new modem regardless.Are all your connections wireless? Do you still see the same ping issue when you are directly connected to the router via a network cable?Have you had Netflix for a while and this issue just started to occur?Have you tried turning off the HD option in Netflix to see if there is any change in how it affects pings?There are QoS (Quality of Service) options that you can set on this Netgear router. You can use this to help limit the amount of bandwidth that Netflix (which is buffered) uses versus you other priority traffic like games (needs to be real time). You can read more about this on page 105 in the manual at this link.

Confirmed with Gilmore that making the config.cfg writable and creating the autoexec.cfg file corrected this issue.

I went ahead and moved your post to the main thread area here and added the form formatting. Please in the future use this form for any issues For the issue here I would make the config.cfg so that it is writable, meaning remove the read only flag. When you are in game any variables that you set in the console are written to this file. If it is read only then these changes will not save. If you do make changes outside of the game I would place them in the autoexec.cfg file (if you don't have one just create one). Please let me know if that helps.

I don't see anything glaring but you could try to turn off all mouse acceleration to see if that helps. In general it is my opinion that any mouse acceleration in a game is bad since it affects the accuracy of shooting by having varying degrees of speed when you turn or move. Here are those CVARs below to turn off acceleration. m_customaccel "0" m_customaccel_scale "0.00" m_customaccel_max "0" m_mousespeed "0" m_mouseaccel1 "0" m_mouseaccel2 "0" Also you can put this in the launch options of DOD to further make sure that acceleration is off: -noforcemaccel It is a shot in the dark but you might want to try a different mouse too to see if there is any difference.

Jones does the issue come back after you restart your system (just to make sure everything is closed out)?

Please could you post your config.cfg and autoexec.cfg files for review? I just wonder if there is a variable affecting this. Possibly the sensitivity?

In this script I have removed the grenades and melee weapons from the weapon scroll so that I am not fumbling for a key weapon in a fire fight. In other words I only want my primary gun/rocket and my secondary pistol to be available on the weapon scroll. For me I have my weapon selection scroll set to the mouse wheel. If you use other keys for your weapon selection you can replace all MWHEELDOWN and MWHEELUP with the respective keys that use. If anyone wants to still have their melee on the weapon scroll or the grenades, just let me know and I can probably modify this. There are are more aliases than needed. I had grabbed the alias list from another config file that someone made a while back. The number keys are by default bound to weapon category 0-9 respectively. As Lt. Col. oh PS.. you do realize you can set your cfg and autoexec to read only? open with notepad, go to properties, set read only.. that way it cant be changed by any server as for your default. The configuration files and what updates them can be confusing. The autoexec.cfg is a personal config file and would not be updated by a server. Some people have set their config.cfg file to read only since any changes made to variables during the game will be written to this by the client itself and people do not want their config.cfg file to change. Here still though the config.cfg file cannot be updated updated by a server you connect to, only the client can change this. What may happen sometimes is that SteamPipe will update the file with a copy when starting up the game. This is why I very rarely manually edit the config.cfg file. I personally have both my config.cfg and autoexec.cfg set to be writable. The config.cfg file is the first to be called by the game when starting up and any changes made to variables at the command line are written to this file (provided it is not set to read only). After the config.cfg file is executed the autoexec.cfg is run automatically and will override any variables that were set by the config.cfg that are also in the autoexec.cfg. New variables/scripts that I want to use I put in the autoexec.cfg for this reason.
