Epic video montage by CBC before the game. First things first, GO LEAFS GO! What a game, horrible conditions but it reminded me of good old fashioned shinny hockey I played when I was a kid. The win will also make 24/7 more enjoyable for me to watch this Saturday muahaha! Not to mention that Tim Gleason trade, a good stay-at-home defenseman is exactly what this team needs. Great trade! Now on to Team USA, well I was right about the goalies. Taking Brown and Wheeler over Bobby Ryan will be a huge mistake for the US. Ryan has more skill and creativity than both those players and if you put him on open ice the advantage is in his favor. On defense, I\'m not sure how you take Orpik over Yandle...like wtf?!?!?! Now I\'m waiting for the stacked team Canada is going to unveil for Sochi. P.s. Grats to Phil Kessel and JVR on making Team USA and having a fantastic game today!

The one thing I can take away from this newsletter is the amount of promotions is too damn high! Haha jk...or am I? In all seriousness, the media staff did an excellent job on this one. There are some really interesting reads in this issue of the 1st MRB Newsletter you should all be proud with. Special thanks to Sgt. Mullaney for her work as the newsletter layout editor. I know how hard that job is and she did a fantastic job at it, I can't wait for the next one!

December 2013 Happy New Year!

It looks like it'll be Ryan Miller, Jimmy Howard and Jonathan Quick goaltending for USA. The starting job is between Quick and Miller, Miller has experience since he played in it 4 years ago but Quick has the most recent Vezina. I would start with Miller but if he looks shaky I would sub in Quick. Howard is gonna be riding the bench the entire time.

Wow! I watched the entire documentary and I was blown away. Aside from his ability to calculate numbers by viewing shapes in his head, his ability to learn an entire language in 7 days is amazing to me. Like the documentary points out, it is astonishing to see a savant like Daniel who can do what he does and has no social disabilities. This is fascinating, good find.

First episode was all about both teams overcoming adversity. This is the greatest fucking show around, and I didn't know Liev Schreiber was the voice that does the narrating. I can't wait to see the next episode that will show my Leafs spanking the Hawks!
