  1. I knew the Spurs were gonna win the series but DAMN!!!!! To be honest, I did not see the sweep coming. There are a lot of sweeps, Miami took out Milwaukee in 4 (duh!), Spurs take out the Lakers in 4, and it looks like OKC is gonna take out Houston in 4. I'm not surprised that the Heat and OKC swept their opponents, but I am surprised the Spurs took out the Lakers so quick. Even though the Lakers have been struggling this year, if you look at their team compared to the Spurs you'd think they'd put up some kind of fight.
  2. FAAAAAAAAAAACKKKKK!! Not the Bruins, anyone but the Bruins. Kessel hates playing against his old team. Original Six matchup so it should be good.
  3. No thank you, we do not scrim with known hackers in the community, but good luck with the 1st SAS. Signed, Lt. Col. Parker Battalion Senior Officer
  4. Frenchies at their dumbest.
  5. Get ready to change those matchups because if Boston wins today then Montreal faces Toronto, the Sens face the Pens, and the Islanders take on the Bruins. if Boston loses today then Montreal faces Ottawa, the Islanders face the Pens, and Toronto takes on the Bruins.
  6. So the cheapest ticket I could get to watch Game 3 for the Leafs/Habs game would be $500. The most expensive is $88,000 (try not to have a heart attack). The only people that could afford those tickets would be millionaires, unfortunately for me I don't know any. I guarantee someone will buy those tickets, there are a bunch of suits here with deep pockets who like to impress clients. It's a shame those tickets will go to waste. Have any of you heard of some ridiculous ticket prices for your sports teams? It can be for any sport.
  7. HUGE HR by Encarnacion yesterday! Big character win for the boys, hopefully they start snowballing and start stringing together some wins.
  8. Pfft..I made the koolaid and I'm handing it out to anyone who wants to join the bandwagon.
  9. For those of you who are wondering what the meaning behind the phrase "Burn the Boats" is, well it has been the Leafs new mantra this year. It's posted above the whiteboard at the far end of the Leafs dressing room.
  10. Wow, more and more Leaf fans. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! We are multiplying.
  11. Haha Real Sports is my home! Good luck trying to get in there during the playoffs. Expectations are low this year because all we wanted was playoffs and it doesn't matter when we get knocked out.
  12. I would actually be pretty terrified if I was sword fighting someone in rl that had that sword.
  13. You sir, are my new friend. As my new friend, I'll do you a favor and move this thread to the sports section of the forums at no charge to you at all. Unlike most homer hockey fans, I'm a realist *takes off blue & white goggles*. There is no chance in hell the Leafs are winning the Cup this year, that achievement is going to the Penguins. With all their trade deadline acquisitions and their already ridiculously talented team, they have the depth and talent to go all the way without any bumps. Realistically, the Leafs have a good chance to get to the second round of the playoffs if they play Montreal. That's not to say Montreal isn't talented, we've just had their number for the past few years and right now it looks like they are going into the playoffs with a shaky Carey Price who is their best player (no disrespect to Subban). I wouldn't mind facing Washington either, although they have the scoring touch they really don't have a great defensive game. Even though they added Erat at the trade deadline, their depth isn't the strongest and everyone knows if you want to win in the playoffs you need depth. Finally, the Bruins. This would be my least favorite first round matchup simply because the Bruins dominate us every year. Chara's tall body and long reach shuts down any line we through at them, Rask seems to play well against us every time we face him, and they have just as much toughness and grit as we do so there's no pushing this team around. All in all, it looks like it's gonna be a Toronto vs. Montreal first round matchup and for me, personally and as a hockey fan, I can't begin to explain to you how excited I will be to watch it. Two of the most historic franchises and long-time rivals in hockey going head-to-head in a 7 game series fighting for Lord Stanley's Cup. I get goosebumps thinking about it. Go Leafs Go!
  14. Not cool bro, always stay classy.
  15. Only Canadians can cuz we're awesome like that and because that's Chris Hadfield, a Canadian in command of the International Space Station!
  16. Priceless.
  17. THE DROUGHT IS OVER! MAPLE LEAFS CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NINE YEARS Yeah baby, we're back!
  18. In honor of this I'm going to do absolutely nothing and carry on with my day just like every other day.
  19. Reis and Anderson.
  20. EASTON CONFERENCE: Miami Vs. Milwaukee - Heat in 4 New York Vs Boston - New York in 6 Indiana Vs Hawks - Indiana in 6 Brooklyn Vs Chicago - Chicago in 7 WESTERN CONFERENCE: Oklahoma City Vs Houston - Oklahoma City in 4 San Antonio Vs Los Angeles Lakers - San Antonio in 7 Denver Vs Golden State - Denver in 7 Los Angeles Clippers Vs Memphis - Clippers in 5 I think Mello has taken LJ's spot as the new highly criticized player never to win anything, this is a big statement series for Mello. If he can't win against a beat up and aging Boston team then the Knicks will have to go out and acquire some kind of leadership for that team because Mello aint it.
  21. 1. Your stance on privacy would change dramatically if it was your son/daughter/wife/parent/friend who was killed in the bombings. 2. People are innocent until proven guilty, but if that individual is shooting at officers instead of cooperating then that individual is definitely going to get a cap in his ass.
  22. This was a nice tribute by the Boston Bruins before the game tonight.
  23. There are so many moments that make me a huge fan of all sports. There's Canada's 2002 & 2010 Olympic Gold, Mike Weir winning the 2003 Masters, Toronto Maple Leafs '93 playoff run, Blue Jays '92 World Series, and more... But there's one sports moment that I'll never forget, the '93 Blue Jays' World Series win. Bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, Joe Carter is at the plate with 2 balls and 2 strikes. The pitch....THE SWING.....HOMERUN AND THE BLUE JAYS WIN IT! I'll never forget that amazing call by Tom Cheek when Carter hit that homerun, "Touch em all Joe, you'll never hit a bigger homerun in your life." I was 6 years old in my family's restaurant, it was packed with fans and my dad made me a homemade noise maker. Everyone was so happy and it was an incredible feeling watching your favorite team claim the biggest tittle in baseball as the World Champions! That's one memory I will never forget.
  24. That's what Johnson does every time he's in a cafeteria surrounded by people eating meat.
