Holy crap, you caught up to me Dillon?!?!?!?! Damn, nice job. I think you might win because even though I have Kreshaw pitching, he's the only pitcher playing for me today and tomorrow. This is going to be an interesting finish.

Well 2 of our key batters are injured and aren't playing, Jose Bautista and Brett Lawrie. Those are some big bats out of the lineup. Overall not too bad of a game, Reyes kicked ass last night and he's continuing it today. I'm loving those Farrell chants the fans are doing at the Rogers Centre . As for Farrell, for a former pitching coach he really doesn't know how to handle the bullpen/starters very well. No one really holds Farrell in high regard here in Toronto, he doesn't have the greatest instincts as a manager but that could be because he's new to it. Farrell got his dream job in Boston and we got our dream team in Toronto. *EDIT* I just saw what happened to Lackey. That sucks, you never want to see someone get injured especially after they come back from tommy john surgery.

Ya Chris Davis is definitely in beast mode right now.
-
That is awesome! No Brodeurs allowed HAHAHA!
-
A no-hitter is 30 points.
-
Fair enough I increased it to 50 pts. 200 is too much, you don't want one pitcher to decide the week for someone.

Aaaaaaand moved to the slope chute.

Here are the Nash and Gaborik trades combined. Who won? NYR gets: Rick Nash Steven Delisle Derek Dorsett John Moore Derick Brassard 6th-Round Pick (2013) Conditional 3rd-Round Pick (2013) CBJ gets: Marian Gaborik Brandon Dubinsky Artem Anisimov Tim Erixon 2013 1st-Round Pick IMO Columbus I think takes it with the 1st-rounder and all those ready established NHLers.

Some late trades trickle in. This one is HUGE because it involves a 1st round pick! Nashville trades: Martin Erat (Signed until 2014/15 with a $4.5 mil cap hit) Michael Latta FOR Washington trades: Filip Forsberg (11th overall pick in last year's draft) That is a bold move, Washington must not think highly of Filip or they think the world of Erat!

Yup, just got the message on my phone. Marian Gaborik for Derick Brassard, John Moore, Derek Dorsett and a sixth-round draft pick. Not too shabby. The Wild got Pommer for Hackett and Larsson. Awesome addition for the Wild going into the playoffs. The most interesting trade imo has to be Ben Bishop going to Tampa for Cory Conacher. What a big addition for both teams, you got a potential star goaltender in Tampa and you've got a Calder Trophy candidate going to Ottawa. Who won this trade will be decided for years to come. As of right now, I'll give the edge to Ottawa because they got a stud in Conacher for their 3rd string goaltender, but we'll see how Conacher does without the firepower he played with in Tampa.

Both sides made their points and the topic has been discussed thoroughly enough that I'm going to close the thread before tempers flare. Topic closed.

You play an opponent each week and the winner is determined by fantasy points earned. Fantasy points are gained from stats like HRs, RBIs, hits, SB, W, Ks, complete games, etc... Even though you're not in the league I think you might be able to see our league (not sure): Try this link

Boston's payroll has been one of the top payrolls in baseball since the game started, the one year Toronto goes over $100 million (which isn't a lot compared to a ton of other teams ahead of Toronto) you decide to bash them on here because of it? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. It's not fine that you talk about teams spending money when you're a fan of a team that spends money every year, don't justify attacking my team's payroll because yours is finally going to be lowering theirs. I didn't include the established MLB players in the TOR/MIA trade because they weren't the highest value assets going the other way, but thanks for including the fact that we gave them Yunel, Alvarez, Mathis, Hechavarria and those prospects further proving my point that they weren't bought. You call Toronto overhyped because of their payroll this year yet teams like the Dodgers and Angels aren't even mentioned in your so-called opinions. I couldn't care less if you hate the Jays, but don't make ignorant remarks about the players and bash the team like you did. I'm going after you because I know very intelligent Red Sox fans who would shake their head at you if they read what you wrote. You want to make a case about why JP shouldn't catch the knuckleball or why you dislike Dickey? Fine, but don't be a fucking dick. Highly intelligent remark. The guy won a Cy Young using the knuckleball. Another needless remark that no one other than you has made about a team. Man there is so much "pot calling the kettle black" here that it hurts my eyes. You must have hated the Red Sox a couple of years ago when they "bought" Gonzalez, Scutaro, Crawford, Bedard, and others. So overhyped. Zorbanos just stop, you're making yourself look foolish. Anyways, Day 4 of the MLB today and I can't wait to see how Jake Peavy is going to do against KC. I've got him on my fantasy team so I'm hoping he does well and continues what he did last year. It sucks that Yu couldn't get that last out yesterday, I love how he had a smile on his face kinda suggesting that he wasn't that upset about it. I honestly didn't think he was going to do amazing this year, Hudson you might have gotten an extremely good pitcher this year in the second round of the draft

Hmmmm let's see, it started going negative when... Oh yea! I never put down other teams like that, but if someone starts doing it to my team then I'll certainly deliver some of the same medicine back. So if you stop being a narrow minded baseball fan who spews ignorant opinions based on incorrect assumptions, then I'll stop attacking you with actual facts.

1 out of 162 games, plan the parade in Boston. Talk about buying players, this coming from a Red Sox fan, $158,967,286 million on their payroll LOL! Dude, get some facts before you start typing retarded shit. Go to the slope chute, this section is for people who know something about baseball.
-
Oh my god I would sell my soul to see Ryan Miller in a Leafs jersey.
-
First of all, no one bought anything, we traded for them giving up prospects in return. Second, the name of the catcher is J.P. Arencibia who played for team USA in the WBC this year. He sholdn't be catching Dickey, but he wasn't the one who gave up a 2-run HR. Third, are you going to be THAT GUY who wants attention on sports forums so he goes and trash talks other teams instead of worrying about his own? Oh wait, you're a Red Sox fan, makes sense. Try to not take longer than 86 years to win a championship next time kbyethnx.
-
You better hope Yu does well, he was your 2nd pick!
-
Jaybo and Roy are in the West.
-
Kershaw went beast mode on opening day hitting a HR and getting a complete game shutout!
-
Ya I saw it yesterday and was hesitant to post it up because it looked bad. I hope that doesn't hurt his basketball career and I hope he gets better. Poor guy,
