DAMNNNNNN!!!!!!!! What a finish for UFC 148. I just finished watching it and overall it was just okay. It seemed like everyone I wanted to win didn't win...
Patrick Cote vs. Cung Le, I was rooting for Cote but Cung Le won by decision. Even at 40 years old he is still rocking those high kicks. Overall not the most entertaining fight of the night.
Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin, I was hoping for Ortiz to win but Griffin won by decision, but it was a decision I didn't agree with. First of all, Ortiz was hitting Forrest so hard that he went down twice. Second, Tito had way more take downs than Forrest so I don't even understand where the scoring came from in this match. Good fight anyways.
Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen, I wanted Sonnen to win and coming out of the first round it looked like he was going to. But about half way into the second round Sonnen decided to do a reverse punch and missed Silva which caused Sonnen to lose balance and he fell on the floor. At that moment Silva just pounced and delivered a mean knee to the chest which ultimately did Chael in. After that knee, Silva just murdered Chael's head with punch after punch. Finally, the ref stopped the fight and Silva remains an undefeated champion in UFC. What was surprising was to hear Chael say "He's a true champ" about Silva. It looks like his trash talking days are over regarding Silva. GREAT FIGHT!!
