Ban Request :: "Frank West"
Kirkendall 1st MRB replied to Brown's topic in Military Police Archives - DoD:S
This player contacted me over steam looking for an unban. Two years is a sufficient sentence. This ban is revoked. -

I was mad. I went back there 15 minutes ago or so. "Got Reaper of Souls yet?" "Nope, still waiting on UPS." "OK. Return my pre-order." "But-" "DO IT." So they did it. I went to Best Buy and bought it for $20 because I had store credit I didn't know I had.
-
So my brother gave me the pre-order from a local place called Video Games Etc. I never shopped there since I used to work at Best Buy and would either purchase everything there or online. So today (you know, the "release day") I Googled the store hours. "Oh 9:00 that'll work, that's pretty good opening time." So I go there. NOPELOL we open at 10:00. Motherfuckers. Fine, I'll fuck off for an hour. So I fuck off for an hour, come back and they're open. There's a UPS truck right outside, kinda blocking the entrance. Motherfucker. I go in, there's a douche I remember from high school working there. "Yea," says I, the benevolent man who could probably pull off orange corduroy, "I've got a Diablo Reaper thingy preorder." "Oh, sorry we haven't got our UPS truck yet." I look right over my shoulder at the creeper with the 'stache unloading the UPS truck outside. "Uh-huh.." (I will clarify that if they had said they need a couple minutes to unload the truck I would've been fine, instead they said it wasn't there yet) The vain earth-vexing pignut continues, "We'll give you a call when it comes in." "That's odd. I would think, since the window says 'Diablo III: Reaper of Souls release today, you'd have it today." "Oh, the truck's running late, sorry, it's usually here around noon." How can it be both running late at 10 but usually here around noon? Does it run late every day and noon is just the expected time? Why on a new release day do you not get the games in the morning before your store opens or the night before? Fuck if I know. "Fuck it, alright then." So I leave. At Dunkin' Donuts, (who treated me very nicely coincidentally, so I wasn't being a dick here) I go on Facebook on my phone. BAM! Ad from Video Games Etc. "THIS WEEK'S NEW RELEASES ARE HERE!" with that Reaper-fuck plastered right on the front. YOU MOTHERFUCKING LIARS I WAS JUST THERE!

With Nolan Ryan righting the ship down there I wouldnt be surprised if they became a wildcard team within 3 years. Yea, but that most likely won't be this year. They've got a good farm set up, but it ain't harvest yet.

Pff. Astros all the way. We've got it in the bag this year. No one can lose more than the 'stros. That's what you want to do right? Lose the most games?

I was gifted the expansion, so I got back into D3 to get a feel for it again before the expansion comes out. So far, I like the changes I've experienced. But I had to start from the ground and work all the way up, my account was lost. JarmenKell#1735 if you want to play with me.

Unban Request :: _joshy
Kirkendall 1st MRB replied to _joshy's topic in Military Police Archives - DoD:S
I have unbanned you. I believe the time served is sufficient for what you were banned for. Be advised a higher ranking officer can re-issue the ban on this topic, or any admin can issue a ban for different offenses. Enjoy your time in the server, happy fragging. -
The server is set to sv_maxrate 25000. So it absolutely doesn't matter where you set the rate above that, it won't change a thing.

Here comes a (as of now) Steam exclusive remake of the classic Gauntlet!

Ban Request :: Pvt. k. Mors [10th MD]

Done. Banned for 2 weeks. -
Interesting thing is it was America who almost ended the world during the cold war. A computer glitch showed that Russia had launched aa preemptive nuclear strike against us. The guy with the power to launch back didnt (thank god) and was later fired. Decades later our Gov recognized him as hero. It came that close. Im being vague because I dont remember the details, but a quick Google should bring that story up. You have the roles reversed. It was a glitchy Russian system that showed America had launched our nukes. Stanislav Petrov knew the system was new and glitchy and didn't make the call to the Russians who had the power to launch. He was also neither rewarded nor punished for his choice. But both the Russians and Americans have at least a dozen times where they were about to begin nuclear holocaust. Britain got overly scared at one point and raised their alert status to 15 minute response time, which Russia thought meant they were about to do something. There was a computer chip in NORAD that went haywire and started showing nuke launches 2222 ICBM launches instead of 0000, none of which were showing on RADAR screens. There was a Russian who agreed to work for the CIA in Moscow that had a code to tell the US if there was an imminent danger. He was to call a special number, blow into the receiver, hang up, and do it again. Someone did just that, and the US seemingly didn't respond. I think the operative was arrested and executed shortly after. Russia started freaking out when a missile was launched near Spitzbergen, and their whole government was about to go to war, when someone remembered receiving notice from Norway about a scientific missile launch and forgot to pass the message up the chain of command.

Game of Thrones discussion (Spoilers)
Kirkendall 1st MRB replied to Gardiner 1st MRB's topic in Mess Hall
Doran Martell is mentioned a bit in both book 2 and book 3 before he appears in book 4. It's possible that they will establish his full role, but at the same time I expect him to have a scene or two preceding/after the death of The Red Viper. Probably going to explain Dorne's placement/allegiances (although I think they'll refrain from having him be loyal to Daenerys just yet) and the imprisonment of the Sand Vipers now. There's still a lot of book 3 to cover with the Purple Wedding, Arya traveling to Braavos, Jaime's character development, and Tyrion's imprisonment. -
Game of Thrones discussion (Spoilers)
Kirkendall 1st MRB replied to Gardiner 1st MRB's topic in Mess Hall
Season 4 is the second half of book 3, so you really wouldn't see any characters drop out regardless. Next season when they break into book 4 then you'll see them meld in book 5 with it. -

From the Galaxy S4 to the S5, you'll see a number of changes. The S5 is slightly larger and a little heavier. the screen is .1" larger, which is negligible to most people. It will also come equipped with a heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner, and IP67 certification. IP67 is basically a rating that says a device will be better against the elements. I still wouldn't drop it in a bucket of water. Also, the micro USB port is being equipped with a USB 3.0 interface. Whereas the S4 had a 13 megapixel camera, the S5 is being upped to 16. Not a crazy difference, but the S5 also improves camera focusing and can record 4K resolution video. Straight up processor and GPU upgrades, going to the Snapdragon 801 CPU and the Adreno 330 GPU. In laymen's terms: Faster, faster, faster. But they're still both using pretty much the same system overall. So how much it can take advantage of the much quicker processor and architecture remains to be seen. Whether the S5 is worth the money difference is up to you. The new features may add some interesting capabilities, especially if you're planning on investing in a Galaxy Gear, but if you're looking for a quick and still modern phone, the S4 will do just fine.

So I tried it again this weekend. Hot damn, I was impressed. I take back a lot of what I said in the former complaints, they seemed to have unveiled a lot of their refining. The combat was no longer clunky for me. Last time, I tried a Nord Dragon-dude-thingy, which was kind of a tank class.. This time I did a Breton spell-shooty-guy for a taste of the mage. Breton in ESO are in a different faction than the Nords, so I played in a different starter area than my previous play. Immediately I noticed a great improvement in the graphics from last time, even just in the tutorial area (where everyone starts). They are definitely embracing their art-style now, animations were much more smooth and there was quite a bit of additional ambiance added. I could go on for a bit on the improvements. But I think I'm going to throw my lot in with this one and take it for a go. They may be exploiting my hankering for a new MMO, but I'm digging it.

Radley-Walter's: Awarded to players in the 5th or higher tier for destroying 8 or 9 enemy vehicles in one battle. Kolobanov's: Awarded to a player who stands alone against five or more enemy tanks or self-propelled guns and wins (this means that you can capture the enemy base by yourself when you are against five enemies and you will recieve the achievement.)

Aside from the really annoying monotone guy who is way too proud of his number two play which wasn't a hexakill, I got to hear the announcer lady say hexakill once!
