Awesome zombie topic resurrection post, private. This was voted on and the command staff had decided to keep Strand on the server, although it will not be in the rotation. This means that any admin with map changing abilities can throw up a vote to have Strand as the next map. So when you feel like storming the beach, let an admin know and it will be up to them whether or not it will "kill" the server population. Another good idea would be to request it during one of our Friday Night Fight Nights when we play all custom maps all night. (Not sure when the next one will be, but I'm thinking soon.)

I've never been to Okinawa, but I know that if you think you know Japanese, you'll be scratching your head at the local dialect. I was only in Japan for 2 Months with 3 of my friends, but we went all over. It was mainly temple hopping, but I can tell you if you go anywhere near Hiroshima, try the okonomiyaki. Tokyo is huge, just hop on the Yamanote line and pick any stop, you'll find something new. Once we were trying to find some random art museum but got lost, found the best ramen I've ever had in my life and a Poke-Mart. I had the best Sushi in Tokyo, but it was down some random ally and I wouldn't be able to tell you where that was if my life depended on it, one of my friend's Grandfather's students took us to that Sushi place and basically ordered three of everything for each of us to try.

Nothing's gonna ever keep us down!

Congratulations to the 1st Marine Raider Battalion on an entire year of activity. March 21st, 2009, Captain Parker, 1st Lieutenant Kirkendall, 2nd Lieutenant Sorley, Master Sergeants Warren and Englebretson, Staff Sergeants Costa, Lehman, Gooderham, and Wilson came together and became the first members of the newly commissioned 1st MRB. Since that moment, the unit grew and earned respect and a reputation with the other units in the realism community. Today, we have grown to almost 100 members, the 5 officers and 2 junior officers. A mass of capable SNCOs, NCOs and the many fresh-faced Privates awaiting their shot at proving themselves. Today, we are 1 year strong, and tomorrow... One year and a day. Way to go Marines! Keep an eye out for any announcements by the Command Staff, there will be quick meeting to discuss the past year and the year to come.
