Name: mcniff (ron paul) Steam I.D:STEAM_0:0:17431936 Steam IDv3: [u:1:34863872] Reasons for the Ban: Disrespect of admins when map vote resulted in stock map because not enough votes for the customs. Muted him and he then proceeded to post in chat immediately "mcniff (ron paul): !voteban 1stSgt. C. Dirtbag" I then was about to kick him but he fled the server instead. Due to the immaturity shown and general display of disrespect I believe he should take a break from playing on our servers. Further evidence of his general disrespect towards unit members can be found in his chat log with such instances as "Feb 20, 2016 8:56:35 am !votekick norris 1st Marine Raider Battalion | HLStatsX | FF | Medic |" and "Feb 17, 2016 3:54:32 pm !voteban admin 1st Marine Raider Battalion | HLStatsX | FF | Medic |" as well as a few accusations of our server being run by communists apparently due to no RTV. Recommended duration of ban: 2 days to one week at Command Staff's descretion. Demo Provided?: N Pfc. N. Fidel was present

What do you call your soft drinks?
Marsden 1st MRB replied to Quarterman 1st MRB's topic in The Slope Chute
You know growing up in California it was always Soda or Sodapop. Since I've moved up north to the Pacific Northwest I've pretty much dropped the soda and it's just pop now. -
I remember the old banners and BAR logo but I think we already had the forum avatars when I joined up.
-
And a few others I think. I coulda sworn that peaker joined up with us on there at least once. But I could be crazy too.
-
I remember playing the mod with you peaker. we had that crazy overpowered camp up north and west of the NWAF with our 3 attack choppers and armored SUV's on Epoch. Standalone has a lil bit more consistently in regards to there are no missile choppers still in the air lol
-
Server that I play on KOS is a little bit more rare. But really the rule of thumb should be if it's not a bambi get away from it.
-
I personally enjoy the shit out of DayZ Standalone. I think it depends on what you are looking for in your survival game; as it stands it's barebones but the last few patches have seen a lot of progress and re-implementation of infected as well.
-
NECRO POST Does anyone still play? I still play pretty regularly but am looking to group and build a camp now that tents and barrels have been implemented and are persistent for up to 45 days of inactivity. As long as you move the inventory once every 45 days it won't get deleted.

Pending Reply - ventrillo login change?
Marsden 1st MRB replied to Scinta's question in Closed Tickets
My account is on and working fine at the moment. Are you still encountering the issue? Grrr and you just dropped off Steam so I can't IM you. -
I think the entire team feels bad for creating it.

You could get permanently suspended from Xbox Live on a console and account level. Additionally any permanent enforcement action on an Xbox Live account affects the remainder of any Microsoft services associated to the Microsoft account. So if you have ever signed into that console with say the same Microsoft account that you have your MS Office through if MS finds out you're using a modded console you may also loose access to Office as well as XBL. Additionally it is still a federal offense and copy right infringement to be have copied the base game data from the disc to the console (in any manner no longer requiring the disc to be played) as such could open you to risk of civil and criminal suits. Bare in mind that is a technicality and I've not heard of someone being charged for Xbox Titles before. In order for these types of things to happen though publishers and Microsoft would need to read our forums XD (although MS may or may not monitor this forum as I have accessed it from my workstation in the past).

can a computer run dodswith under 2 GBs of RAM?
Marsden 1st MRB replied to Scinta's topic in The Slope Chute
Shouldn't this be a post for the Medical Supply Office? I'm sure they could look into the issue for you and see if maybe tweaking the autoexec.cfg could make dod:s runnable on a low RAM machine or at least what you would need to get bumped up to. Additionally the store page lists the minimum specs as follows : MINIMUM: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8.1 level Graphics Card (Requires support for SSE), Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection RECOMMENDED: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB RAM, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card, Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection So given that 2GB of ram is double the recommended amount so you should definitely be able to get together with the MSO to find a good config for your set. -

Be prepared to look at some grim facts. (The Brink of WW 3)
Marsden 1st MRB replied to Scinta's topic in Politics?
10-15% of the United States Marine Corps has been dedicated to operations in and around the South China Sea for over a decade. The 3rd MEU regularly is positioned to be ready to react to threats in the area. Including hostile action taken by the Peoples Republic of China against Taiwan or hostile action taken by North Korea in any direction. Keep in mind that this is only including active Marines (Which in 2014 totaled fewer than 200K). So with 10-15% of the Marine Corps stationed in the South China Sea our forces total fewer than 20K fighting men and fewer than 200 aircraft. We have our Marines stationed around the world so that at any time the most amount of time to pass between an order being issued and boots on the ground will be 8 hours. And we really do mean any where. Additionally if you have any citations or sources for the information about Turkey funding the majority of the Anti-Assad fighters I would greatly appreciate to have a link XD While I am indeed against Daesh (I will not refer to this group of radicals as a sovereign nation and anyone serious about seeing an end of Daesh should stop giving them the respect of being referred to as such), I supported the goals of the anti-Assad movements when they began 4 years ago. The simple fact of how Assad responded to these movements was evidence enough that he indeed needs to be stripped of any and all power; there is a group of 30 armed combatants; carpet bomb a quarter of the city, great fucking plan. Daesh only exists because of the failure of NATO itself. As far as calling for Turkey's removal from being a NATO Member state, that would be nice and the rednecks have been calling for it for a long time. We don't trust the Turks all that much more than we trust our own politicians or Russia's politicians (I am confident the actual people of Russia mean the rest of the world no lasting ill will or intentions to kill us all; I think that is the governments in place and their puppetmasters). -
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Do you remember if these comments were made in voice or server text chat? Our server and community has a very strict policy in regards to respect and a zero tolerance for discrimination on the fronts of Race/Creed/Nationality/Gender/Sexual Preferences. I really appreciate you doing the responsible thing and bringing this to our attention and being an adult about it. If you happen to see behaviors like this again in the future please do not hesitate to post a ban request as any member of our community is welcome to post in the MP forums about individuals like this. Additionally if you have MRB members on your Steam Friends please do not hesitate to message us to get the server policed. Thank you again for being an awesome and mature human being. (Curse you Gardner you beat me to it)

Been seeing posts on FB all day about threats being made to California as well. Wonder which terrible plan they intend to follow through with.

All I know is that the decisions made by these isolated few, who have taken the monikers of IS or Daesh, are only serving to spread hatred and distrust. As long as we are able to stand together as communities (and I mean IRL as well as together as our community online) and see that these actions do not portray the thought processes or decisions of the vast majority of Muslims or even the actual teachings of Islam itself we should be able to come through this just fine. While at this point military action does seem justified and even necessary we need to be certain that we don't simply go to war against "Islam" or even "Radical Islam" as that will simply strengthen the positions of the few crazies who have seized power in the vacuum spilling out of Syria.

Hello Femme! I see you finally got that picture posted up. I'd like to be the first to officially welcome you to the 1st MRB's forums and let you know that it has been a blast to play with you in game and Ventrilo. I hope you are doing well and continue to hang out with us on Ventrilo and the forums XD. P.S. you do know we are recruiting ya?

Hmm I'll take a look into that and see if it helps any, I normally have about 8 or nine different alarms to get up in the morning

O yes indeed, sleeping too much is the greatest thing ever. Because you know it's healthy and a gratifying waste of a day to have slept 23 of the last 32 hours and still be exhausted. I'll be seeing a doctor later this afternoon (assuming that I'm able to stay awake until the appointment), however I was wondering if anyone in the unit has dealt with any form of hypersomnia in the past and tips on how to deal with it.
