Question

On my old PC, the framerate was usually above 30 on most of the games that said I met specs, but the first thing to make it unplayable was latency, and this made aiming in pretty much every game completely frustrating. This wouldn't effect which new PC I get because I don't have that many options, but if anybody has details on what exactly causes input lag and what cards do it most, that would be great. I know that mouse and monitor matter, but this was clearly system performance. I'm sure this can't possibly be an issue with DoD:S now, but I'm hoping to be able to play Battlefield 3 and Elder Scrolls V.

Old Specs

8600 GT and T5500 1.83ghz Duo Core 2

New Specs

GT 525m and i5 at 2.30ghz

Thanks,

Garrett

When you say input latency, you mean mouse, correct?

All input; walking, looking, clicking, mouse, commands. In these games that said I met requirements, anything but 420p made aiming at moving targets and sometimes just clicking something impossible.

It sounds like you are either performing a Software Render mode or you something wrong with your device drivers. Can you post your specs of your hardware?

CPU

GPU

RAM

Motherboard

If you can also go into the device manager and take a screen shot, and give us the display device driver version, this would help as well.

I don't have it, and my old computer was wiped. I should be getting both in the next few days.
