I finally managed to go and buy a custom built computer. Was sposed to be able to pick it up today but the wharehouse hasn't gotten my case yet so now i hasta wait till monday, it not a super rig er anything but it's an updateable one that will play all of my steam games with their settings maxed so i'm happy with it. Especially since the only other games i'm lible o get any time soon is either EVE or Black Prophecy.

This is a tottally random post i know but I felt like sharing. I will post up pics once i pick it up, along with the full specs cuz i'm not sure the exact model on the motherboard or cpu;

what i do know is that the cpu is an i5, the motherboards by ASUS with 8 gbs of ram by either patriot or leviathan, and an NVIDIA 550GTS by EVGA with a 500W power supply.

That PSU is kinda scary low on power. Hopefully it won't be an issue.

And yeah Yama, those are a great start. I made a list on newegg of my update parts for when I get my bonus check in November. Here it is.

That is all going in my Cooler Master HAF-X case, and I already have a GTX 590, but I may try and sell it and get two GTX 580's after reading Dillon's post about video cards.

Haha, how often do you have to update your list? I want to make a list but hardware gets better and cheaper so quick...

I have made ummm... 3 different posts about new computer builds, and have yet to follow through on them.

I made that list on the 7th, and so far it hasn't changed. By November when I get my bonus check it may be different as prices on SSD drives drop closer to the holidays I might opt for larger ones. I have between now and then to decide if I want to go for swapping video cards too.

fuckin bullshit ass retarded internet provider says that its my problem that their service is slow and tha the best way to fix the problem of my 20-145 kb/s dl speeds is to not use my internet and then my speeds will be back up untill i use them again in which time i will be limited again i hate them i think i'm going to return to the evil that is comcast. o and did i mention the long periods of time were my dl speed is 0 bytes. i hate fuckin bullshit klajdflksadj foadfjas;dlfjna;hdas;fjsd;fjasdf;ldshfksdh ;sd

Just get Verizon Fios if you can.. I have verizon DSL but Verizon has been pretty good to us, so they are a good internet provider.

True .. I'm stuck with Verizon DSL until my apartment complex gets a contract for Verizon FIOS it sucks .. but I refuse to go to the evil of Comcast ...

Odd news,

HP is involved with Comcast now .. hopefully we can unfuck them.

I hate HP with a passion, TBH.

well a couple of people aroundthe area have suggested verizon, so i may give it a shot, maybe not i honestly dnt know at this point, this morning my dl's were doin ok, except lol and black prophecy those ones flipped the fuck out fer some reason, restarted them and now they r runnin as good as cam be expected on such a bad conect, although brink just bottomed out when since i played a bit of dods so now i'm back in the sae shitty mess i was last night lol
