It's a milspec that's under 400USD, the people who complain about it either don't know shit or got the few crappy guns in the production run. From what I hear, the Armscor produced RIA branded guns can eat anything from high quality ammo to the dirtiest ones out there, and it's good enough to accept modifications (like getting rid of the stock sights and installing more modern sights or a new beavertail). Certainly good enough since Springfield Armory's GI models are a hundred bucks more expensive.

And it also comes in 9mm and .38 Super offerings, well, different brand name, but same manufacturer.

Yeah, same reason I like the Glocks. It's a good MilSpec, federally recognized firearm, used by various agencies all across the world. I personally own a GLock 22C, built in compensated barrel, but I've got an IPSCA .40 cal barrel as well that I swap in and out when I want to try my accuracy. I wouldn't trust any other handgun for personal defense. I plan to keep the 22 for Home Defense and pick up a Glock 27 (Compact .40 cal, the 22 is a full size .40) for CCW, now that Wiscosnin is Concealed Carry Accessible. Woot :D

Wait till national reciprocity is passed. All states will be obliged to honor other states CC licenses.

On the subject of firearms, no offense, but GLOCKS were never good in my hand. It's the whole comfort thing as well. Newer polymer guns out there do feature adjustable backstraps and whatnot, but the best fitting guns in my hand were M1911A1s, Browning Hi-Powers, and a rare Pre-B Cz75 I found once in Manassas. Apparently it was sold an hour after I left the store. Fucking beautiful gun.

See I'm the flip of your opinion, the 1911 was never comfortable for me. I have a wide hand with long fingers, so the narrow frame of the .45 single stack always felt skinny in my hand and I felt like I was squeezing the gun to much. With the wide grip of my 22C, so I can get my hand around it with out feeling all ham fisted with it. Throw in the fact that I have will get a surefire for the front of my GLOCK (the trigger frame is built for attaching under mounted accesories, with the squared off frame). All in all I am a total GLOCK Fanboy, but I have respect for the 1911 as well. I just don't like em as much.

The CZ-75 is an amazing gun, and I know Israeli Weapon Industry (maker of the Baby DEagle) are releasing a Baby Deagle in .40 cal that is based of the CZ-75 frame. So keep an eye out with that :)

As for national reciprocity, that's a dream that I am not holding my breath for. I am just happy that Wisconsin is the 49th state that has CCW passed, it's a big win for us from Winsconsin :).

You're the best GLOCK Fanboy I ever met. Mainly because all others are like elitist snobs who look down on any other gun, even other Polymer guns that to me are better fitting for someone like me. It's also because I'm a budding C&A kind of firearms owner. Would so totally drop 1000USD for a prestine bolt gun from WWI than dropping it on an custom AR. So older pistols have that appeal to me.

And it's happening, slowly, but yer right, better to get a state one for now.

PS- I have shown the superiority of a gun by taking over a shovel squad thread.

Yeah, I am a bit of a C&A fan myself. I have a Mosin Nagant, a Swiss Mauser, an M1 Garand, and Enfield. I still need an M1 Carbine, a Springfield and a Kar98K as well as an Arisaka to complete the World War II set.

And yeah, a lot of Polymer GUn Owners like to stick to their kind, but I don't midn rubbing elbows with classic gun owners :).

M1 Carbine's are amazing. Got to shoot one myself and it was amazing ;)

You know what I'd wanna get. An actual working M1918A2 BAR. But to find one nowadays is like...damn pricey and nearly impossible.

keyword nearly impossible and congrats on derailing a shovel squad thread.
