Though there were multiple admins in the server, I'm cetain it was Capt. Englebretson.

Excuse for the Unban:

Firstly, I'm not entirely sure I was banned, the message said “Disconnect: Abusive” but I can guess.

I had been playing on the server for about ~15-20 minutes when this happened, and never typed so much as a swear word, and I only had one teamkill which I had apologized for. I certainly was not being abusive, that’s for sure.

Why I suspect I was banned could have been for “hacking” (not that I want to flatter myself and say that I'm such a skilled player and such...). The reason I suspect this is that Englebretson immediately went spectator after I single-shot headshotted him, and then headshotted Sgt. Giovanni in a firefight in church (dod_avalanche). On top of this he blocked communication when I tried to friend request him.

While he was spectating me I do recall making a couple nice kills from the top of church tower, but not much else, even if I were to be hacking I don’t think that sequence could be considered conclusive anyways. I really dont remember anything that sticks out other than the shots from church tower while Engle was specing me.

From my memory the short time between him going to spectator and my ban would lead to a non-sufficient demo anyways, according to 2nd Lt. Kirkendall's guide to hackers.

I think at the very least Capt. Englebretson should post the demo/demos (which would be needed to substantiate my ban) so that others can view it and determine if its sufficient. No harsh feelings, I just think Captain was too quick to jump to conclusions.

Anyways the point is, I've been playing on your server for a few weeks now. Consistently doing well and even being dedicated enough to get my rank up to number two and maintaining a 2.00+ kdr. I'd had no problems up until this point, where I was banned without warning. I'm sure there may be some members of your unit who have seen me frequenting the server and hopefully can contest that I am not a cheater, though I tend to do pretty well. I truly think this ban should be re-evaluated, and I look forward to (hopefully) playing on your server once again.

I did not ban you when I was in spec since I was alt tab at the time trying to fix my console and game. Someone told me you got banned and I didnt think much of it since you had to do something wrong to get banned. I will lift this ban since I see no evidence to keep you banned. And in the future please dont start blaming who you "think" might of banned you.

My apologies for the accusation but it just seemed logical.

Since you had blocked communications and went to spectator immediately after I had killed you.

Not to mention the fact that I didnt think an admin would ban someone for hacking without having spectated. And I knew I couldnt have been banned for anything else since I wasnt doing anything wrong (except apparently wracking up a nice score, ha).

Maybe I was a bit quick to jump to conclusions myself, but factors did point to that.

Not to sound impatient or anything, but when should I be able to connect to the server?

I've tried to join in but it was unsuccessful.
