Merry Christmas to all of you.

I sincerely wish you all the best today - and I challenge you to go out and do something awesome for someone else today. While we're all worried about what we'll get and if it will be what we want, remember there are folks out there who've just lost their family in a tragic accident, or who have no home and will get no gifts.

There were children who are part of a group of kids that get gifts donated to them because they live in families that can't afford them - they asked for 'new underwear' this year because that was what they wanted more than anything - not toys or games or money, just clean clothes that they could wear without the constant reminder of how rough they have it. In my opinion, no child should ever have to ask for that but it happens.

Remember our fallen veterans - who gave all so that we could have these moments to celebrate and their families who gave that one special person so the rest of us could continue to be in this wonderfully free country we call home.

Go be as merry as you can - put aside everything and go out of your way to give others the experience that you have; a Merry Christmas. Give to those without, and receive freely - it will be worth it every time.

So Merry Christmas to all of my friends in the 1st MRB; eat well, cheer and be merry.
