So, as in DOD:S we had the Fire Team Compeition, but i also noticed a TON of us play LFD2 in the meantime besides DOD:S so i was thinking we should do the same thing with LFD2 Teams of 4. going into a tourement (Don't know how many rounds depends on all players total) and we play LFD2 Campaign on hardest Difficulity on with actual Infected players. and well winners earn some bragging rights and possibly B-Tags in LFD2.

I mean this is just a starting idea but we could tweak it more and get it all worked out start off on campaigns play them through to the end and if the survivors don't make it like 3 out of 5 to the safety room in the end of the campaign they lose but if they make 3+ they win anything below 3 wins is a lost. 2 and below. and we can sorta do a little competeition like that.

You gotta remember Thomas that this unit is DOD:S first and other games second.

If something comes up on the pub and the only admin on is in this competion and the very second help is needed he would have to drop out to help the pub

i was talking about DoD:S. If the only admin on is in L4D2 then he would have to leave to take care of the pub at any moment.

Vote isnt enabled on the Pub and should never be enabled on the pub. I just takes a risk of having a angry pub member to get some people behind him to kick/ban admins by vote

No, im not talking about that. im talkinga bout having this competeition spread out in series of matches like the fireteam matches and i mean there is going to be an admin on the pub i was talking about vote kicking on LFD2 NOT DOD:S.

It sounds like something more unofficial, more a community thing than a unit thing. If it were to become an actual comp then remember maines' post in the barracks. If you're talking about versus mode then it's only 8 people playing l4d, if normal then it's only 4. If it's a comp then why don't people just film it and create a topic for runs and decide on a scoring system (e.g. start with 1000 points, lose 10 every time someone is downed, 60 per death but + 40 points if they are resuscitated and +10 if they are rescued. ) that's probs the best way to go rather than making it a full on event

Also, you don't really need a server for it, there's so many empty ones about

I dont think any unit wide events will be created for any game OTHER then DoD:S.

EVER....

Dont get me wrong, i love L4D2, but we have good stuff going on with just random people who play it on their own time with unit/BAR mates. And Takel and Griswold have already clarified it:

Priorities:

1. DAY OF DEFEAT SOURCE

9000. Other games

We have established that.

I'm just saying it would be something fun.

I like that idea, I had the very same a few days ago and was mulling over it. Of course, as Maines says, it shouldn't take DoD's place, but we can manage something for those who are interested, maybe something like, make your own team of 4, then we can run either scavenge and the score is the amount of cans we get, and we can keep a track of it.

( Steam or PC Game Pass) Yes   Why do you wish to join the 1st Marine Raiders? I've played BFV and milsimed in it, and it was a lot more fun when I milsimed. and I enjoy playing HLL, so I think it is going to be more fun when I join.   Did any of our current members play a part in you enlisting? If so, who? If none, how did you learn about us: I found you guys from a website called disboard when looking for HLL milsim groups to join.   This unit offers more than just a place to play games with each other, do you have any online skills you think would be useful? no   Do you have any Leadership experience that you think will be helpful? I'm not sure if it will be helpfull, but I used to be in BFV milsim groups and in my last one I got to [E-7] out of [E-1] to [O-8], so I was a NCO and I helped the officers with whatever they needed doing, weather it was assisting with training, settling disputes or helping them decide what was appropriate disciplinary action. And when we were in combat I was usually assigned to lead my own squad.   Have you ever been in a realism unit before, and if so, which unit was it? yes. I was in quite a few BFV milsim groups, although I was only in one at any given time. unfortunately, I have left the discord servers and I do not remember the names of them. if you would like, I could probably give a reference to someone who was an officer in most of the groups I was in.   By posting this Enlistment form, I acknowledge the instructions completely, declare that I am 16 years old or older, and agree that I have and will follow server and unit rules maturely and respectfully or face immediate rejection.
