Rumor has it, Valve may be working on their own gaming console:

"Potentially aimed at taking on Apple TV and the current generation of gaming consoles, the rumored Steam Box includes some impressive gaming hardware, with 8 gigs of RAM, a Core i7 CPU and a high-end NVIDIA graphics card. It's been suggested that Alienware may have had a hand in its development, and that its Alienware X51 computer was designed around an early version of Valve's new console.

The Steam Box will come with a proprietary controller that may include biometric sensors (like the ones Valve uses when play testing its games) along with customizable components that allow users to reconfigure the controller based on what game or application they're using. Valve filed a patent on such a design last year."

You think Valve won't be able to buy them out? Besides, depending on the platform they develop, they already have access to the entire steam library. And when they connect the new console to the steam store (which they will undoubtedly do), they'll be rolling in the cash.

One thing they'll have to do, is get a much better customer service department. I cant see many people keeping a Steam Console, if they have tonnes of errors and have to wait forever before speaking to someone or getting the problem fixed.

      MARINE CORPS ENLISTMENT OFFICE Camp Pendleton, CA   RECRUITMENT LETTER     Hello, Johnny Unknown Thank you for taking interest in joining the 1st Marine Raider Battalion.   During your trial period the following will occur: Once accepted as a Recruit, you will remain as a Recruit for 2 weeks from the day of your acceptance until the next BCT Class is offered. During your time as a recruit, it is highly encouraged to play within the Public Server and join Discord with our other members. Upon acceptance, you will be contacted by one of our DIs when the next available BCT is scheduled via the appropriate Discord channel.   We have a BCT class every two weeks. Please keep an eye out for when the next one is made available once you've completed your time requirements!   Upon stating that you understand all the information here, an admin will change your forum name and login to be :   Unknown 1st MRB   Take the time now to change your Steam and in-game name to:   Rec.
