I had always loved these games especially terror from the deep and UFO: Extraterrestrials a spin off of the xcom series.

I want this game so badly now!

Loved the originals, and it looks like they've really kept the essense of them!

I can't believe how uninterested everyone is in this.

The original UFO - Enemy Unknown (AKA "XCOM - UFO Defense") is the best strategy game I've ever played.

If you check out pretty much any gaming site / magasines "Top 100 All Time Best" games lists, it will definately

be on it, and usually in the top 20.

Seriously guys? Are you all too young to remember the original or something?

It was badass (your soldiers die, and stay dead, and you don't get many of them).

It was difficult (assuming you weren't playing on super easy mode).

It was fucking scary (especially when a fucking muton jumped out at your guy with a melée weapon and carved his face off).

And you have to protect the whole damn planet!

But yes, X-COM is one of the best games I've ever played. There was so much depth to it. I still remember some of my soldiers - toward the end of the game, one of them had crazy high movement points, good accuracy, and could carry a heavy plasma rifle and a blaster launcher... but, she could get mind controlled really easily and blow everyone else up. So, I'd usually send someone to follow her around with a stun gun to knock her out in case the aliens took control of her.

Oh man. So much fun.

yeah i'm young, but i remember my brother playing it alot. and he's hyped for the game, i may not have been old enough to understand the game well back then. but i can't wait to try it out now.
