i hate that espn has went the fox news route and fills all their time with opinion shows instead of sports coverage. its unfortunate. espn has went way downhill in the last decade...

This makes me love Mark Cuban so much more. Heard bits of this on the radio this morning on 105.3 the Fan. One of the guys on there, Greggo, used to work for ESPN radio in Dallas with Skip like ten years ago.

He HATES him so much, rips on him all the time. And good, Skip Bayless is a fuckin jackass. Never realized until i listened to greggo what a D-bag he is, or how much i hated him.

I agree with dobbles though about ESPN. i think sports new coverage has gotten toxic.

It was just so funny to watch him trying to say *anything* that could help show he knew what he was talking about.

He even tried to add MORE generalities.

Cuban just absolutely destroyed when he said "so essentially you're saying the Lebron won because he listen to you..." Sadly we couldn't see the other two's reactions when Cuban asked them "... am I right?"

I never really disliked Cuban as an owner because he puts a product that fans can care about for because HE cares. Every owner should love and care about the teams they own because it translates to everyone winning: owners, teams, and ultimately fans.

Unlike this idiot...

But at least Geoff is trying to right the ship that Gilette almost sank (although Molson was quite the loafer in high school) so I hope these past 25 years have been a long journey of self-improvement.

And it's not as if Tannebaum is actively deep-sixing the Leafs. They got rid of this bum didn't they?

Ya after 4 or 5 years (I can\'t remember).... A monkey could have seen that he was terrible after 1. Trading Tuuka Rask for Andrew Raycroft -sigh-

For a team that hasn\'t won a championship in a LONG time, he gave away a lot of draft picks. JFJ gave up our 1st round 2004, 1st round 2005(Tuukka Rask), 1st round 2007, 2nd round 2005, 2nd round 2007, 2nd round 2008, 4th round 2005, 4th round 2006, 4th round 2009 and 5th round 2006 picks.

If MLSE and Tanenbaum cared, they would\'ve done something sooner. WORST GM IN NHL HISTORY! Worse than this guy

lol @ serious guy.

Yeah, Millbury will likely go down as one of the worst ever.

Traded Olli Jokinen & Roberto Luongo for Mark Parrish and Oleg Kvasha

Traded Zdeno Chara, Bill Muckalt, & 1st Round Selection (Jason Spezza) for Alexei Yashin

Traded Bryan McCabe, Todd Bertuzzi, & 3rd Round Selection (Jarko Ruutu) for Trevor Linden

Traded Bryan Berard & 6th Round Selection for Felix Potvin & 6th Round Selection

Drafted Rick DiPietro with #1 Overall Pick at 2000 NHL Entry Draft

Traded J.P Dumont & 5th Round Selection (1998) for Dmitri Nabokov

Traded Chris Osgood & 3rd Round Selection (2003) to St. Louis Blues for Justin Papineau and 2nd Round Selection (Jeremy Colliton)

Traded Brad Isbister & Raffi Torres for Janne Niinimaa

Traded Tommy Salo for Mats Lindgren & 8th Round Selection (Radek Martinek)

Right up there with:

True story.

However, Durant is likely to come back in beast-mode next year. Losing to 2 eventual championship winners during West Conf playoffs (LAK, Mavs), losing in conf finals, losing in finals. This kid's going to want to win it so bad next year. This is like a TSN turning point in his career. Despite lack of assists, is Durant ready to become Jordan-esque in results?

Also, my money is on Durant winning a championship before Melo does (despite Melo recently saying his time is near).

Stats wise there will be many players who will rival Jordan, but very few who can back it up with multiple championships. As much as I hate to say it Kobe has been the only one after 00 to be involved in this type of conversation.

I agree with Engle, although I hate Kobe too. His fadeaway jumper is just so reminiscent of Michael's. And if he ties or surpasses MJ with rings, who knows what the conversation would be like then?

I think Durant has the potential to surpass MJ when it comes to scoring ability, as his 6'10 frame and 7'5 wingspan is something MJ didn't have. I mean KD is a 85% + free throw shooter and is a 35% 3-point shooter. Only problem is that he's kinda skinny. When it comes to defense, he has a ways to go as he's never been apart of an All-Defensive team in the NBA.

I disagree. Kobe as great of a player he is, only won two championships (09, 10) by being the star that he is. Shaq was the most dominante center in NBA history for three years (2000-2002) and kobe helped Shaq win championships much as Gasol helped Kobe win championships.

I think as long as you win one championship that places the greats into the greatest of all time talks. People such as Dirk, Kidd, KG, and Allen.

But there there is a select few who will never win a ring and still be considered one of the greatest of all time. For the NBA I think of Nash and Iverson. For football everyone should think of Dan Marino.

But we should only be talking about people in greatest of all time contendership after their careers are over.

For all we know in 10 years Kobe or LeBron could end up with 10 rings and 5 more MVPs.
