On a similar note - My parents had bought a new (2008) Santa-Fe about a year ago. About a week later, they discovered that the remote key worked on multiple other 2008 Sante-Fe's.

My Mother was walking through a parking lot, and pressed the unlock button on the remote. One car, which was very similar to hers lit up when she pressed the button. She got in, thinking it was her car until she realized it was full of someone else's things. She got out, re-locked the car with the remote, went to her own car, and left.

Never-the-less, interested story about the security of remote locks.
