Type of issue: (Software, Hardware, Steam, Not sure) steam
Brief Description of Issue:
Hey guys, figured I would create a ticket, but could use any feedback. i booted my gaming pc up a little bit ago and when steam loaded, avast flagged it as a threat. i went ahead and blocked it and it did a reboot with a full scan. the scan is currently running.
is it possible/common for a virus to get into the steam files? is it common for avast to come up with false positives regarding steam?
i mostly just play dod and havent done any sort of modding to files or even downloaded new custom maps recently. so i really doubt its something i have done. i use the computer almost exclusively for gaming. no file downloading or pr0n going on. so i am assuming its a false positive or avast just being dumb, but figured i would come to you guys to see if you had any thoughts.
