Just to cover some basic stuff ..

Have you rebooted the Modem feeding your wireless router?

Restarted your computer?

Try the following as well:

Go to Start -> Run

Type in cmd (this should open a black window)

Type the following:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

(wait about a minute or so)

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /registerdns

I can't find those on the top. Or it cant find them

I can find those on the top,

Wait about another minute and then check your internet connection again and see if it works

Unplug everything, wait 30 seconds then retry, make sure you have no block on your Wifi, if you didnt set one odds are you dont have one but you never know, let the battery on the lap top run dead then completely recharge

Well, on this laptop it takes only 1-2min to the battery is dead. But i have done all sort of things to fix the internet. And still it wont working.

Is there any chance that someone in your household changed any settings on the wireless router?

Please let us know the result of Yamagata's suggestion. If you don't know how to delete a wireless network, here's some instructions

http://agsci.psu.edu/it/news/2012/04/how-d...reless-networks

If it doesn't fix it, you may find the problem comes back exactly the same afterwards, or you may find that windows refuses to reconnect due to some error when you try to reconnect, details please.

Can you check if your laptop has been configured for a static ip?

and more instructions if you don't know how to do that http://www.ehow.com/how_6789902_tell-stati...ip-address.html

Do you have any friends who can lend you another modem/router for an hour to try out? I'm really starting to think that the modem itself (especially at 4 years of age) is just worn out, and a simple replacement will fix it. If you can get another modem in there, and it all works fine, then you know that your current FIber one is in need of replacement. ISP's will replace them for free, just have to bring the current one in.

Replacing the router will almost certainly resolve the issue. But that isn't because the current one is old, it's because replacing the router will change virtually every variable in the problem.

Is your router separate from your fiber modem, or are they an integrated unit? Is the router, or modem/router combo, owned by you or your ISP? The ISP will obviously only replace their own gear.

Are other machines in your household connected via wireless and functioning properly?
