You couldn't be further from the truth. They're as trashy as trash could get. I would get more satisfaction fucking a bag of trash than any one of them.

Many people outside of the US perceive what they see on your media as the reality of your lives (Can you blame them?). Jersey Shore, Honey Boo Boo, and similar "reality" T.V. all contribute as such.

May I ask what is your obsession about the American public?

There isn't any more of an obsession with the American public then there is of, for example, everything and anything that happens in the Middle-East, European economic crisis, or any other popular issues of the time. When something is regularly represented in popular media, everybody hears something about it, regardless of geographical location. More often than not, this representation is taken as fact.

Most people who hear stories from, or have seen some form of "reality" show based in the US, particularly those who have a lesser knowledge (perhaps, by no fault of their own) of the reality in the country, are quite content to simply shrug their shoulders and say "I guess that is the way it works there" when they see something supposedly representing "life in America". It is very similar as to when we (people in North America), hear stories of the cultural or religious beliefs and values of other peoples throughout the world. We often simply shrug our shoulders and say "I guess that is just the way it works there", whether it is the true reality of the country as a whole, or not.

Not obsession, though the workings of media is almost always an interesting topic to discuss. It just so happens the the US media in particular is often so easily dissected.

Thank you for answering my questions, so I can understand Americans even more.

This may sound stupid but.

My opinion is that Americans are just like everyone else, just a little more imagination one other country: P but media destroys pretty much of America's reputation.

and gotten the country to look like full of hillbillys. I think it's incredibly stupid to do it for the viewers.

or that they tell about America's dark side.
