Good in the sense that Star Wars now has the opportunity for life through the same force that revamped Marvel into what it is. Bad in that some people still don't realize how Star Wars works, and Disney might not know. You give a director like Joss Whedon creative control over a Star Wars movie, you will not be disappointed.

Main thing is this gives a very strong chance the next 3 chapters of the story will finally get told, unlike Lucas who said hed never do them.......

This could be a good or very dark chapter for Star Wars. Agreeing with Kirk, If Disney gets the right Directors to conduct the movies it could go quite well.

That could actually spell out a lot of bad things for people. For example, will the next episodes put in Skywalker starting the Jedi back up and enlisting Kyle Katarn? If not, all of the "Jedi Knight" games are suddenly out of canon, meaning they really don't have a point anymore because it would be in some alternate reality. Obviously, there are many ways they could take the sequels, but there are just as many people who have written books or made games that will be different.

Still, if they get someone to do the Heir to the Empire series into movies, I will have a full-blown nerdgasm.

Agreed as long as Cruise doesn't get picked to play Luke....... He's been snagging all the wrong roles lately......
