Resolved - Roller Coaster Tycoon won't work on my gf laptop

Brief Description of Issue: It's a old school game, and when she goes to load a saved game it will load for a second then kick her out with this error message.

rct.exe has stopped working

A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if the solution is available.

Any tips?? She runs Windows Vista if that helps haha.

She can play new games but once it has been saved and reloaded it will kick her out.

- right click on computer (in your start menu)

- go in properties (or on the left side under control panel)

- advanced system settings

- in the advanced tab, click settings in performance

- add the game in the Data Execution Prevention exception list

I have had this issue with previous games, this was a workable solution.

Sorry just been busy with school already o.O

It semi works! haha. Still get that message but when she goes to close the error pop up it brings her back into the game.

Could try the compatibility mode, though it may or may not have any effect.

Right click the program executable, click the compatibility tab, select whatever version of windows was the recommended for the game (Probably XP at the latest)
