I don't understand it. They keep getting stranded, and or crash into islands, and or get boarded by pirates.

also, I just saw a different version of this commercial on TV.

Why would they be airing commercials that say to go on cruises, because you don't want to get stuck on broken down roller coasters?

hmmm cruises.

I've been looking into doing a couple of them.

More the ones where you sleep at night while they are travelling, and when you wake up there are ready to put you ashore at some remote town for the day to sight see and visit, then back on around dinner time, to leave port for the next town.

That and I want to do the Alaskin one for the scenic value.

Plus I hear they are great for meeting vunerable horny single women who are looking for a fun time while at sea.

Link is to the Vessel Sanitation Program of the CDC (which I worked for at one point in my life).

Essentially, the media just LOVES to blow up the story. You don't hear about all the cruise ships that went without a hitch (of which 97% of them do). It's sad; cruises are really a lot of fun, good way to sample a wide variety of locations on a budget, and Gardner's kinda right...singles love it. Something in the salt air brings out the horniness of people, man and woman alike.

There are extremely strict protocols in place to avoid illnesses, for obvious reasons. However, like anything else in the world, they aren't perfect and never will be.

If you want to know the sensation of being full 24 hours a day every day you go on a cruise. You can get food whenever you want. The Carnival ones have these self serve frozen yogurt machines you can use to your hearts content.

So you've stuffed yourself all day and you realize it's 7 pm. "Oh no, it's dinner time!", you say to yourself, "they serve the really fancy stuff then." So you begrudgingly haul your butt to the dinner hall and eat until your entire digestive system has no vacancy.

You wake up the next day rather full, not surprisingly, but that free frozen yogurt looks too good to pass up. You rinse and repeat.

While all this is going on, you do get to stop at a little town or two so you get to walk some of the food off before the cycle begins again.
