This is by far one of the games im most excited for. Pardon the grammar but reading about this game and watching the gameplay videos just makes me drool. This looks to be the best total war game ever made. First day it comes on preorder in steam im getting it. I enjoyed the fuck out of shogun 2 and i am definitely happy that they decided to go back to rome.

i cannot fuckin wait to get this game, Rome was my favorite era in the Total War series. The older game was just really rough compared to the elegance of Shogun 2. Can't wait for it to be applied. I just hope that i don't have to buy ANOTHER new video card for another Total War game hahaha

Is there anyway to have multiple Rome total war mods on at the same time? i'm thinking about getting Rome Total War BI: Viking Invasion 2, but i also like my Rome Total Realism Mod.

Preorders have now opened! The game will be released on Sept 3rd. If you preorder it on steam, you get the Greek cities DLC that includes athens, sparta, and Epirus. I'm definitely preordering this when i get home from work!

I dearly hope they reworked the factions so you don't have old Kingdom Egyptians during the Ptolemaic period. Also, I hope they don't have Roman ninjas again.

I really hope this is good, It looks worth wild but I hope it isn't a bust like shogun 2, No offense to anyone who liked it, I just generally didn't like the Japanese style play and the era and so on and so forth. But I can't wait to test out all these new factions they've added, and the graphics seem like a step up from the last game.

I think it is fucking awesome that they are making the "greek city states" faction from Rome I into three different factions for Rome II. The historical independence of the Greek city states always threw me off when playing as them in game. Then again, im one of those history nerds that imagines alot of outside factors to make th games seem more realistic....

I agree Zorbanos, it always put me off that Sparta and Athens were in the same faction. What sucks is that they're DLCs factions, what the hell.

Total war shotgun?....is that like a new game where no matter what era of history all the units use shotguns in battle? Cause that would be awesome!
