I saw a crapload when I lived in Tokyo due to having a friend who did Fuji Fest and got tickets to everyone who came to the city, but the most memorable were

System of a Down (in a venue that should fit 200, had about 350. fire hazard yes. entire room a mosh pit, yes.)

I don't normally go to pop music concerts so you've probably never heard of the bands I've seen, (Hell, I've never heard of the bands I've seen and I probably couldn't remember their names if I tried) but I've been to a few Philharmonics and Symphonies.

However, the only "big" name I've seen live was Steel Panther, even if they are a satire band.
