End of book five. Do you guys think that its the children of the forrest with Varys, or just some random kids with daggers?

Lol wut. The origins of the Spider's little birds are spilled like 3 times in the book. Even once in the very first book. They are normal children, trained special by the Spider's overseas business partners.

Wait the children are the spiders? As in that bald dude in kings landing? Im gonna have to rewatch season 4. It was the first season that I had to wait a damn week between episodes. Its taking all my self control not to just read the books and and find out what happens. Damn HBO, how about a 12 episode season?

Read the books. They are way better.

Whenever Varys would divulge information, as he was the spymaster, he would say his 'little birds told him,' leaving much speculation to who or what the bird were.

Highlight the spoiler for the book explanation for the birds, and a tested theory of Varys and one of his secretive friends:

In the first book, Ayra is exploring the castle on her own as part of her water dancer training. She comes across across two men plotting in the hall of dragon skulls. "Of the two men, one has a ‘round scarred face and a stubble of dark beard’ with a steel cap and he seems ‘oddly familiar’ to Arya. When Varys visits Ned in his cell later in the book, he is disguised with a black beard and a steel cap."

They are overhead,

“What I can do, I will,” the one with the torch said softly. “I must have gold, and another fifty birds.”

... “So many?” The voices were fainter as the light dwindled ahead of her.”The ones you need are so hard to find...so young, to know their letters...perhaps older...not die so easy...”

“No. The younger are safer...treat them gently...”

“...if they kept their tongues...”

“...the risk...”

Varys is talking to a person, Illyrio, the man who took in Viserys and Daenerys. It is also from his mansion in the free cities Daenerys is wed to Khal Drogo. Through hints and more full actions that occur in a Dance with Dragons, one can surmise Varys and Illyrio are very strong Targaryen supporters. Varys has been brewing a long plan in King's Landing to reassert the Targaryen's to the iron throne, as he believes they are the most stable and safe for the people and any threats. Whether he knows of the coming endless winter is unknown. Tyrion's escape through hidden passages in the show is somewhat glossed over, but Varys has a very intimate knowledge of these hidden passages, and some are only large enough for small children to fit into. His spys are in the walls, listening to what is said by everyone, and writing them in messages to The Spider. However it is not a kindness that Varys does, it is also believed that the children have their tongues cut out. They get trapped and caught in the passages frequently, and the loss of their tongues ensures they will not be able to call out for help or in pain.

I like how every one is pist if you spoil a dead in GOT. but the only spoiler out there is if you tell if someone lives to see the end of the Books (Show). That's the most evil thing you can do.

Why are they killing off characters that are still alive in the books and part of what is going on later in the storyline?

Because Martin can change anything he wants. It's his story :D

I haven't read the books. I know not what is supposed to happen and what isn't. I do not peruse this channel often because I like to keep the show the show and the books the books. From that perspective, I feel that every week builds upon the next very well and the producers connect scenes to other scenes across seasons to continue stories. Tyrion is one of my favorite characters, along with Brann Stark. I haven't seen one mention of him this year, maybe they will bring him in at the end? I like the series, it is enjoyable and entertaining each week. I have seen interviews that basically say the reasons they might kill off a character is financial, I can see that, even HBO does not have unlimited funds and lets face it this is a huge cast. I am eager to see what is coming up in the last two episodes, I am sure it'll be exciting!
