Since I bought and moved into my flat about a year ago I have not had a TV. Today is quite possibly the first time I have missed TV.

The Wire (because McNulty is hilarious)

This imo is probably the greatest television series ever but im not sure i would want to see it back. It ended too perfectly to be touched again.

In any case im glad to see it mentioned by someone else. +1 Cutts

I would have really liked a season about immigration in Baltimore, which is what David Simon and the writers would have done with the 6th season which would have been rad, but like you said it had a fantastic ending so I cant really be mad about it.

+1 to both of you

Also, I heard rumors a while back about a possible Star Trek series where Warf was the captain of a starship, and it was called "Warf", but I don't think we're going to see that anytime soon.

It's spelt Worf for fucks sake.[/nerd]

I vote yes to Star Treks and He Man.

Disney could bring back Droids. And Gargoyles.

David Jason could bring back Open All Hours, he's old enough to be the boss now.

And a new Dragon Ball would be nice, though I've always heard that the creator ended up thinking of Z's success as a ball and chain whereas his real love was drawing mecha and zany machinery. Speaking of which, I wish Miyazaki would ditch the supernatural magical gaia bullshit and go back to drawing pigs, tanks, aircraft and Lupin III.

It is a possibility that a new series is coming; The newest movie has made over 20 million US dollars in Japan, prompting him (Akira Toriyama) to consider a new series.

Stargate Universe.

Stargate SG-1 was what got me into the Phd path for engineering. Problem is it can't comeback since the cast is all doing other things/finished with it. I always felt SG-1 could go on forever. They had so many unexplored topics/things never answered. The possibilities were endless. I never want some A+ shows to end, their premises are too good.

SGU is the next best thing. It started out pretty badly but by middle of season 2 it hit its stride. Last half of season 2 was A+. But it was cancelled as it was becomming really good (low #'s).

Some dude wrote a season 3 script which was super-highly rated and is releasing it as Episode chapters. They should bring back a season 3.....

And ofc obligatory: Firefly. Same thing: many unexplored topics + endless possibilities.

Man most space shows have endless possibilities.

I've seen people spell it Wharf.

Trouble with Open All Hours, is that while David Jason is an excellent actor for both comedy and drama, he is definitely less funny than Ronnie Barker was.

Without Barker you just can't really do it. Incidentally, I'm really surprised you've even heard of that show, let alone seen enough of it to like it!

On the topic of David Jason, have you watched any Only Fools and Horses? As a series it went on for years, so it's a patchwork of good and bad episodes, but it does have some excellent bits. Every "Top 50 comedy moments" show that they put out in Britain will predictably include a number of well known scenes from it:

Batman and Robin
