First of all, I am not Robbie. I have asked for permission from Maj. Englebretson if I can protest another player's ban and he told me to go right ahead. If you are wondering why am I protesting for Robbie instead of him protesting for himself, the reason is very simple, I already have a forum account, I already know how to properly submit an appeal form, while Robbie does not, so I am doing it for him.

I know Robbie, I played with him many times before. He is a fantastic player, I do not think he cheats, he has over 3300 hours on Steam for Day of Defeat. Of course, it is possible that he was cheating and the admins saw it themselves so they went ahead and banned him. I cannot comment on that as I was not present there that day, but it is conceivable why some people would think that he was cheating even though he may be clean, some players are very good at recoil control and it may seem like no-recoil at times.

This ban report is located in the 1st MRB Archives, here. The banning admin was Imp and he says there were other witnesses. The reason that he gives for the ban are that "spec-ed him for awhile, he was shooting enemies from far away with no recoil at all". I have no comments on that as I was not present, I can comment however on shooting enemies from far away using a heavy, with practice one can kill enemies using semi-auto mode from across map, it can at times look a little bit suspicious but it is all within game mechanics.

However, there is no demo provided. I am not sure by what principles 1st MRB operates but if they hold the "innocent until proven guilty" principle then this ban report is not convincing to an outsider. There is no demo or evidence provided for what he was doing. It may be possible that he was no-recoiling and it was blatant but if this was such a case then is a demo not required, even a half minute one, to show this so?

Again, I do not know if he was cheating or not, if he really was then I apologize in advance. I only make this protest because I know Robbie and never knew him to cheat, so I was surprised to learn that he got banned.
