when you resist, you get your ass beat, simple as that.

I agree 100% Cops see a lot of shit daily, they don't know if your holding a can of MD, or welding a dagger. They have to perceive everything as a threat. You do what the cop tells you, you'll be fine. You don't your gonna get your ass beat. IF you don't got anything to hide, why resist?

le you hit it on the head if you dont have anything to hide you dont have a reason to resist. i think cops make most people kinda uneasy but i think most of that stuff is in peoples own minds. there is no doubt that even cops do rash things that get them in trouble and there is no excuse for that but if your job is to protect the public as a whole i dont think it hurts to push the limits sometimes. and when it comes to teenagers they are stupid. i was a teen once and i did things a cop would probably hit me with a flashlight for and i wouldnt blame them.

yeah okay the kid did seem fishy but the cops didnt need to beat him that hard a simple takedown is all that is needed and there dosnt need to be 3 officers when the guys 5'6 and just scared they didnt show there badges they didnt yell police they came at him screaming WHERES THE GUN WHERES THE MONEY WHERES THE DRUGS that would freak me out to

are you guys fucking stupid or something? maybe just ignorant?

three undercover cops (not in uniform) come at this kid (who plays the fucking violin lol) yelling WHERE'S THE DRUGS. where does it say, "dangerous criminal resist arrest - police retaliate"? yeah it doesn't. where does it say he resisted arrest at all? yeah it doesn't. 3 guys start yelling and coming for this high school kid so he runs away thinking he was gonna get jumped, which he did. yeah go police! that nig totally deserved it!

lol you guys eat bleed and shit tunnel vision

First things first, take notice to who rights the article. This one was done by the Associated Press. A heavily biased reporting organization so you have to be careful what you read with them. Second of all, without the affidavit and statements from both sides it's hard to tell what happened before hand. All you see is the boy's story. Not calling him a lier but you have to have the cops side too. However, from the article written by the AP a continued beating of anyone once they're subdued is inappropriate and should be justified. The Police had the right to stop him just for being out at night alone. Not because he was black or a kid with a bulge in his jacket. A cop can stop anyone they want and just question that individual. When the boy started running the cops then have the right to use force to stop this individual under reasonable suspicion. That's all that should have happened though. A continued beating was not in order and from what little information I saw, I could see a check being written to that Violinist for damages.

And maybe free donuts for the rest of his life at Dunkin.

"Miles was charged Jan. 13 with assault and resisting arrest and his family says he was hospitalized after being hit with a stun gun and suffering head lacerations. He claims that he resisted because he thought the men were trying to abduct him and didn't identify themselves as police."

running from 3 guys who don't identify themselves as cops and who start yelling and coming for you is totally resisting arrest in my book. if 3 random guys started yelling and coming for me i'd run too. don't be dumb. a resisting arrest charge would get dropped instantly.

they used a stun gun on a high school band kid who plays the violin? and you're still defending the cops? lol
