Ah yes the Battle of Rockford. It was a little known battle since it was a Waffen-SS commando raid to try to hit the labs at the University of Chicago that were working on the A-Bomb. They were defeated by the 1337th Infantry that was guarding the University.

I am currently getting a list together for a 1932 Black SS uniform. I have a character sheet that states that he was in the Wehrmacht in late WW1 that developed into a very experienced combat veteran after the invasion of Poland and Russia. He was wounded enough to be taken out of combat during the invasion of Stalingrad, but decided to stay in the political regime and promoted to SS-Hauptsturmführer (the same thing as a US Army/Marine Captain). Once I get the funds in my bank to start acquiring the pieces of the uniform, I will be posting pictures for every1. Ill do my best to black out (via MS Paint) the Swastikas and whatnot.

" I shot you first"! "No I shot you first"! "No I shot you first"!

Pretty much sums up how I see reenactments. Very cool that they have all the equipment and vehicles. But I could never be in one nor watch. Cool video though!

I have a friend out in PA who used to say the same thing. He was into WWII - but would have never 'done that'. Finally, he broke down and tried one. He's hooked, can't stop going to them and getting further and further into it.

I went to a WWII Surplus shop in Petaluma, CA that had tons of stuff, I spend a good $80 buying genuine WWII accessories for my M1 Carbine. Apparently, they sell a lot to the re-enactment guys. They had this huge section of demilled guns... But they were too expensive for inert weapons.
