Question

Alright, I need help. When I launch DOD:S or any other steam game on my Dell (it's a piece of shit) my game crashes to a white/offwhite colour. Before it had crashed to a green-blue rectangle pattern and so I tried to uninstall then reinstall my video card drivers. The only real reason I need the six year old computer fixed is so that I can play DOD:S with you guys.

I have an ATI Radeon X1650.

I would first try to reinstall your games, verify the files to make sure they are all there. Make sure to have everything else possible in the background off.

If that doesn't work, it's probably a video card issue. We'll go off of that.

Keep us informed.

Basically, try what everyone else has said, verify files, if that fails re-install, if that fails re-install the drivers. If that fails, then it's likely your video card. Some things you could try doing to it are dusting out any fans (hell, dust out your whole computer while you're at it), remove the card, let the computer and card sit for a while (off of course), then re-install the card (if you can in a different slot on the motherboard) and re-install the drivers.
