Sid Meier's Civilization®: Beyond Earth™ is a new science-fiction-themed entry into the award-winning Civilization series. Set in the future, global events have destabilized the world leading to a collapse of modern society, a new world order and an uncertain future for humanity. As the human race struggles to recover, the re-developed nations focus their resources on deep space travel to chart a new beginning for mankind.

As part of an expedition sent to find a home beyond Earth, you will write the next chapter for humanity as you lead your people into a new frontier and create a new civilization in space. Explore and colonize an alien planet, research new technologies, amass mighty armies, build incredible Wonders and shape the face of your new world. As you embark on your journey you must make critical decisions. From your choice of sponsor and the make-up of your colony, to the ultimate path you choose for your civilization, every decision opens up new possibilities.

FEATURES

  • Seed the Adventure: Establish your cultural identity by choosing one of eight different expedition sponsors, each with its own leader and unique gameplay benefits. Assemble your spacecraft, cargo & colonists through a series of choices that directly seed the starting conditions when arriving at the new planet.

  • Colonize an Alien World: Explore the dangers and benefits of a new planet filled with dangerous terrain, mystical resources, and hostile life forms unlike those of Earth. Build outposts, unearth ancient alien relics, tame new forms of life, develop flourishing cities and establish trade routes to create prosperity for your people.

  • Technology Web: To reflect progress forward into an uncertain future, technology advancement occurs through a series of nonlinear choices that affect the development of mankind. The technology web is organized around three broad themes, each with a distinct victory condition.

  • Quest System: Quests are injected with fiction about the planet, and help to guide you through a series of side-missions that will aid in resource collection, unit upgrades, and advancement through the game.

  • Orbital Layer: Build and deploy advanced military, economic and scientific units that provide strategic offensive, defensive and support capabilities from orbit.

  • Unit Customization: Unlock different upgrades through the tech web and customize your units to reflect your play style.

  • Multiplayer: Up to 8 players can compete for dominance of a new alien world.

  • Mod support: Robust mod support allows you to customize and extend your game experience.

I'd be interested in doing a multiplayer game. I've never played a game with other people so idk how thatd work with how long games usually go, but I think itd be a lot of fun.

Oh and Beyond Earth looks sick! REALLY excited for it, and it should be coming out just as I get back from deployment.

      This ban will remain in full effect. We will notify you IF and WHEN you can appeal. This is now pretty well 3 months in a row where you have requested an unban from a permanent infraction which we deemed very serious. Your behavior in our server prior to this ban was quite consistently obnoxious and disrespectful and as such the ban was a problem solved in the eyes of our community members. You should have thought about the consequences before making people feel uncomfortable with your childish behavior. A 4th unban request WITHOUT explicit consent from one of our command staff prior will result in this forums account being banned as well. I do not see an avenue for your return at this time or in the near future. Should you pm or beg any members of the 1st MRB this will also result negatively in your favor.  If you genuinely have a love for Day of Defeat Source I encourage you to enjoy it at your leisure in your own units public server.  Good Day, Happy Fragging.

      MARINE CORPS ENLISTMENT OFFICE Camp Pendleton, CA   RECRUITMENT LETTER     Hello Chris Keebler,   Thank you for taking interest in joining the 1st Marine Raider Battalion. There are a few things you should know before I give you a date for Basic Combat Training (BCT). Firstly, you are restricted to the weapon class of Rifleman for the duration of your time as a Recruit. Secondly, any questions you have about our unit, alternate times for your BCT, or just rules in general, you should contact your drill instructor W.O. A Pitteway, or MSgt J. Candy   BCT will be Held on Mondays and Tuesdays or on Thursdays and Fridays of the Second and Fourth week of each month. If you are enlisting on the First Week of the Month you will be unable to attend the BCT on the Second Week. If you are enlisting in the Third week of the month you will be unable to attend the BCT on the Fourth Week.   Do not hesitate to reach out to our Drill Instructors for additional information. They can be reached through the Forum Private Messaging System most reliably (click the envelope next to their name above).   Upon stating that you understand all the information here, an admin will change your forum name and login to be:   Keebler1st MRB   Take the time now to change your Steam and in-game name to:   Rec.
