So this laptop has been slowly crapping out over the last couple of months and I am looking for a replacement. One that can game relatively easily but also one that will not blow the budget. $400 give or take. Laptop preferred, Mac or PC doesnt matter... amazon links preferred but, I will go out of the box for something good and guaranteed.

400$ doesn't go far with a pc at all. especially a laptop.

link thats probably as good as its going to get for a laptop. pc you may want to look into building your own and looking for used parts on craigslist.

That is a pretty good one too. It has a larger hard drive than the Dell but is lacking the touchscreen. Honestly, with Windows 8 I would want to have the touchscreen since it makes it easier to move around in that OS (which can be frustrating IMO).

I was in the market for anew gaming laptop but I couldn't understand why so many are focused on being a tablet rather than giving you decent spec. Or detachable screens. What happened did the consumer base go tablet full retard? :/

I guess what I am shooting for is 4gb, at least 2.4-3ghz since that will let me run DODs and DayZ with great graphics. But I also need to be able to take my online courses and live stream for my job.

At least according to this link you can run a lot of games including TF2 which would be more than enough for DOD. The GPU is on the CPU in this case:
