Temporarily resolved, seems if i leave origin running in the background it will cause my speakers to make this escalating screeching sound, so all i have to do when i am not using origin is log-out... I am hoping it is not my CPU, or sound card going

Hi sir,

The only real fix is what you are doing. What is most likely happening is your sound card is being overtaxed. It isn't your CPU because if it were you wouldn't be able to run origins or if you were able to, it would crash often.

One question I do have is how old is your computer? That also may have something to do with it.

I agree with sky it could be your sound card over heating I know you do have a laptop and laptops do tend to get hot especially when plugged into a charger. Does this problem happen after a while or does is your computer on for a while then this happens?

Also there are a couple of things you can do .

1. Reinstall origin (I'm pretty sure you can reinstall it without having to reinstall all your games)

2. Try updating the drivers for your sound card if no updates are available then reinstall the drivers.

Yea that is another good point. Laptops overheat a lot faster than desktops. Also, I highly recommend doing what Asencio said to do with the drivers. I didn't even think of that Ascencio.

The screeching could also be coming from an overload to the speakers. If you know how to take apart the laptop, one of the wires for the speaker could be loose or its solder came apart from the laptop overheating. Let us know if you know how to look at that. If not, I can guide you through it. BEFORE this however, definitely re-install the drivers as Pvt. Sky suggested.

I figured it out and your advice all helped, it turned out to be the driver pack that came with BF4 that they suggested you update drivers with. What happened was the sound card updated driver was corrupt, once I re-installed and tested it the sound issue is gone! Thanks guys!
