Ati vs. Nvidia

it doesnt really matter to me as long as the quality, performance, and price is right for me

NVidia because Ati sucks testicles... had a radeon 9250 back in the day... 256 mb memory.... and it was horribad.... Bought a GeForce 6200 of the same statistics and could run COH.... the radeon on the other hand couldnt run any of that shit and only allowed me to get 14 fps in dod.... while the nvidia allows me to get upwards of 40 to 50...

hands down nvidia makes better cards

Well i honestly don't know which is better because in the last 6 years all i'v had is on board graphics lol. but as far as ATI not running COH i've got an ATI Radeon 1100 XPress in my comp and i can play coh, online ppls just bitch about it a lil bit. in washington i had an NVIDIA GEForce 8800 (i think thts the model number) onboard and i get a better frame rate on this older computer with a celeron D proccessor so idk, would seem to me that ATI is a bit better but i could just be getting lucky and steadilly frying my motherboard

Not really a good argument at all. 9250 wasnt even a gaming card. Havent you ever heard of the 9800PRO?

Anyways, Ill say ATI because they provide the best price/performance by far. Iv had plenty of cards from both sides, and ATM im with ATI and have been since 2008. ATI cards have always been pretty solid, and the only big issue I can report with them is driver related. So why pay more for green and get less? I guess some people just prefer green over red simply because of the brand. Oh well, ill save money and get better performance with red for the time being.

So yeah i dont care really, i got Nvidia and my sister has ATi 4470 and we have no problems what soo ever with both of them.

Id say ATI

Why?:

Becaus its a much more solid card, when over clocking carda ATI are more solid to melting than Nvidia. Everybody thinks Nvidia is bigger and better becaus on almost every game they got an intro, but its bullshit.. had an ATI card for 4 years and after i was done it didnt have a scratch so i sold it for 60 bucks:p

Never been big on ATI, so NIVIDIA for me.

I find NIVIDIA to have better cards but in order to get these better cards you have to pay out the ass for them at times. Usually when I'm buying a NIVIDIA (Realize that a lot of the cards aren't made by NIVIDIA, just the chip-set.), I usually go for buying XFX, BFG, or EVGA (Heard from someone that EVGA makes alright cards. But never used one yet, but I have used BFG and XFX.), From experience and what I have heard, these guys do justice for NIVIDIA.

xfx makes both nvidia and a lifetime warranty as long as you register your product withing 30 days of having the product, i has an xfx its good
