Engle, I don't answer because I like to put my phone on vibrate and keep it close to my special spot when you call.

Even though I transferred my char over there, I really haven't played in the last 2 years, so I don't know about the server. I logged in the other day and some of the changes are awesome, although it seems very easy mode leveling wise anyway.

For some reason im tempted to reactivate my account. I am hoping that this xpac eliminates grinding and i am very interested in how many battlegrounds and pvp stuff is being implimented which is why its catching my interest. Whether im going to activate my horde hunter or alliance rogue or even my account at all im still debating...i want variety! lol i dont wanna get easily bored with grinding.

That game got so boring. The new expansion was good for about 3 months. Every person I know (including those who have played since beta, similar to me) stopped playing. The end-game raiding in that game is a joke (EZ-mode) and all around that game has become catered to stupid players who just want to be complete fucking nubs and 'win the game'.

I miss the social things about that game like playing with a guild of friends, but now? Not so much, because literally no one plays it anymore. I wish EQ2 would've done a ton better... they had a lot of much better game ideas as far as social things, but never quite adapted their gameplay to be like that of WoW. Too bad, because WoW has since stolen a good number of EQ2's ideas that they had since day 1 of release.

Used to play WoW must have played it for 3-4 years got fed up after cata just same old. I had a 85 druid, lock, priest, level 83 warrior and a number of other alts

Yeah same here Cast, 85 Warrior (Prot, Arms) 85 Paladin (Holy, Ret/Prot) 85 Hunter (MM,Surv) 72 Rogue, 66 Mage and what not. Cata got really boring and then it was Pandas, so yeah I quit. But Guild Wars 2 looks awesome for any MMORPG fan, so go check it out! :D

Guild wars 1 sucked ass, was so shit. I tried rift it was meh

Guild Wars 2, luckily for you, is pretty awesome! Haha, like I said I played for 5 years and I loved WoW. Well Guild Wars 2, after watching a bunch of videos, looks like a WoW-Breaker, and what I mean by that is that WoW is the dominant MMORPG out there no questions asked, hands down. Well with the new expansion coming out thats inspired by the one and only Jack Black's Kung FU Panda..... (don't even get me started on that) Guild Wars 2 will def. be able to take a good chunk out of their player base. http://www.ign.com/wikis/guild-wars-2 That is a site that has all of the known things about Guild Wars 2. I suggest you check that out and go through YouTube and look at the combat system, the profession system (= what class you are in WoW). They are redefining what an "MMORPG" is. The combat system is totally revamped and new and the graphics are pretty amazing. All in all it looks like an amazing game for any type of gamer, and I'd love for you and the rest of the 1st who enjoys a good ole MMO to check out Guild Wars 2! You won't be disappointed!

In WoW's defence, the Pandaren have been a part of lore for a long while, and where as they haven't found a reason to put them into the game until recently, if that is actually the next xpac (I haven't followed wow for at lest 6 months now), we all knew they'd be coming sooner or later.

Even though they are part of the lore, I feel like WoW could've done them as a patch update and not an expansion within itself. They could've gone into the Emerald Dream or something, idk the lore inside and out, but the idea of the Pandaren doesn't seem very forthcoming to me.

I do think that Blizzard is gonna come out with an expansion within 6 months of releasing Mists of Pandaria just to get their player base back. The player base topped out at around 17 million during the height of WotLK and the beginning of Cataclysm. I think they are down to around 11-14 Million and according to the feedback that I have seen (which is very little since I don't really pay any mind to WoW anymore) I can guesstimate that the player base might drop down to single digits... which is bad... very bad for Blizz.

I also agree... I am by no means planning on returning for this xpac... I finally kicked that nasty WoW habit back in October for good, and even though one of my minions at work keeps trying to get me back, I'm not budging.

Yeah I kicked it in the summer, went back for a little bit cause I got a craving, the craving died within 30 minutes of playing... hahaha, its a good habit to kick, but an even better one to replace with Guild Wars 2 :D Yes, that's my sales pitch... it's a work in progress.

I'm with you.

WoW became a game for babies - once you could just level up, get epics from doing virtually nothing and have end game quality items without doing any of the work from the old days (40-man MC anyone?) I was done.

The 25 man format? Okay, I dealt with it.... then came the 10-man... then the nerfs... then the pvp epics that were easy to get and on par with end game raiding gear...

Everyone had an end level player(s) that were decked out. I too had 5-6 end game champs all in epics that were capable of handling any raid/role... healing, tanks, dps, etc.

I finally had to say "no thanks, let the kiddies play" and look for something else.

I am still looking. Although, I think WoW may have ruined MMO-RPG's for me. I'll give GW2 a try, but I don't have high expectations. I had high expectations for SW:TOR; but once everyone hit 50 they stopped playing... I never hit 50 because I got a late start and no one was around to play with me - so I rarely login. I like those games for the 'play with friends' aspect of them... without that? It's boring.

One I did like, was Everquest 2 actually... they had some REALLY cool features, that even today WoW is still stealing and trying to integrate into their game (surprisingly). Guild banks? EQ2 had those from launch (including guild houses, etc); EQ2 had some really cool ideas and functionalities that benefitted WoW... they simply didn't have the player base and required a bit more PC/Graphics power than I think most people were ready for at the time which killed it. Also, WoW was easier for people to pick up and go - where as EQ2 had more grinding (professions were far more difficult to get good at).

Anyhow.... yea, I used to WoW, a lot. So glad I don't do that anymore... but I think it's ruined MMORPGs for me :(

Yeah I hear ya Goodwin, and I urge you to look into GW2. I think its got a couple surprises up its sleeve that will allow it to be a really good MMORPG. ArenaNet and GuildWars2.guru.com should have all the info you need! Pre-Purchase is April 10th!
