Test results

J. Hill

Recommended Posts

Well, I went back to the VA today to get the results from all the tests they ran last month. The Holter Monitor they had me hooked up to showed a few things. My heart will race at times, and they don't know why. Sometimes it even skips a beat. other than that, my heart is fine. They did a P.E.T. scan after they found that the lymphoma in my bones was showing up in my blood. I haven't seen the Oncologist yet, that's in May, but my Dr told me that there was no signs of cancer in my lymph nodes. That means no surgery, thankfully. It also means they are going to do nothing about it either. I feel very uncomfortable with that running through my veins. They will just continue to monitor it every 3 months with blood tests, and repeat the P.E.T. scan every 6 to 12 months.

In some way I think that's a relief, Hill. "No cancer" is always good news in my book. I know how frustrating it is though when you realize that they also will be doing nothing about it either. I had that answer from a specialist a few months back when I went to have my vocal cords checked because there is something wrong. Turns out I have something "on" them but it's no cancer so they won't do anything about it either. Keep us posted with updates.

    • We were sitting in discord and were talking about some of our names Grande ended up joining the channel towards the end of the conversation and then Small told Grande "you know your name is the opposite of mine, Grande means large in Spanish and French" *Queue Grande going quiet for a solid 5 mins and everyone else in the channel is now dead quiet* Grande out of nowhere completely mind-blown: "WOW you're right Small! It DOES mean big!" queue everyone dying laughing at how long it took him to figure it out
