Pretty scary stuff, eh? Even scarier that not many people seem to care. I posted this on my Facebook a little while ago and not one single comment.

Glad I don't live in southwest US

You're never becoming a superhero with that attitude

You could become aqua man if you live in the Pacific ocean or just Godzilla.

I don't like the ocean.

Well I mean, I'm extremely happy we've been doing all this testing. All that data gathered has definitely benefited our understanding of nuclear physics and how it affects our environment. Atleast all the countries been doing it in safe areas for testing (deep underground, in the sea, completely unpopulated military areas). The endgame of all nuclear power research is cold fusion (ie fusion that doesn't need to be in 10 billion kelvin) which would provide ridiculous amounts of power for extremely little downside. If only everyone wasn't so scared of nuclear power, humanity's future would be much brighter.

Not scared of nuclear power, aware. There are thousands of nuclear plants all over the world. Fukushima reactors melted down and are still bleeding radioactivity four years later. No one talks about it. You can't just pour water or sand over it. This stuff stays for a thousand years, man! We had one in Quebec. They closed down Gentilly not long ago. It takes 50 years to close one of these suckers down!
