Anybody ever been there? That's where I'll be spending the next two years, so if anyone has any insider info on the place as it were, I'd be grateful to have it. Living in Okinawa is apparently going to be awesome though, it's basically an Air Force base and a resort.

Okinawa is kind of crooked, but Tokyo is no gem either, but the experience in either city would be good. Um, if anyone, you would want to ask either Yamagata or Burk.

I've never been to Okinawa, but I know that if you think you know Japanese, you'll be scratching your head at the local dialect.

I was only in Japan for 2 Months with 3 of my friends, but we went all over. It was mainly temple hopping, but I can tell you if you go anywhere near Hiroshima, try the okonomiyaki. Tokyo is huge, just hop on the Yamanote line and pick any stop, you'll find something new. Once we were trying to find some random art museum but got lost, found the best ramen I've ever had in my life and a Poke-Mart. I had the best Sushi in Tokyo, but it was down some random ally and I wouldn't be able to tell you where that was if my life depended on it, one of my friend's Grandfather's students took us to that Sushi place and basically ordered three of everything for each of us to try.

Well all I know is that if your there for 2 years from now, you might end up in Guam. The Okinawans hate, and I do mean HATE us being there, and with the new Prime Minister of Japan being so Anti American about the whole situation, we are looking to skedaddle over to Guam and chill with the Chair Force Guys over there.

You are coming over. They are building a marine section up on Anderson on guam. I feel bad for guam cuz its goin to be even more crowded. And then the Air Force is going to have to share with the Marines. I see disaster in the future of Guam.
