The Pacific is a ten-part television World War II miniseries, produced by HBO, Seven Network Australia and DreamWorks, which will premiere March 14, 2010. It is similar, although unrelated, to Band of Brothers. Whereas Band of Brothers focused on the United States Army's involvement in the European Theater of Operations, the new series will be about United States Marine Corps's actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations.

It's about a unit of Marines in the Island Hopping Campaigns of WWII. More Specifically it also follows the military career of Sgt. John Basilone, who, if you dont know anything about him, was one of the most hard core MF's of WWII.

yea! my dad got HBO up yesterday and im stoked for this. and he means there is weird sound in the Iwo preview, like at 15 seconds you can here weird ass yelling that sounds out of place, it made me lol
